Fun story, rough narration

The story was good, but the narrator couldn’t keep one voice for one character. I don’t mean he didn’t have enough of a range I mean he used different voices for the same character. I found myself having to go back to make sure who he was talking about And the whinny voice got hard to listen to. It the reason I’m not getting the Dragon series.

What a fantastic narrator

This is now the fourth huge Craig Halloran - Lee Alan audiobook I've started on.
Chronicles of Dragon 51 hours
Tail of the Dragon 54 hours
The Darkslayer 86 hours
You'll likely want to get Darkslayer before getting the Bish&Bone extension.
Lee Alan tells these stories well with many different distinct voices. It's always very easy to keep track of what is going on.

Highly recommended.

The Dark Slayer Collection

This collects the first ten novels in the Darkslayer series, by Craig Halloran. The Dark Slayer series is one of Halloran’s darker series, and I think its okay for young adults, but those of your whom like to review work before letting the kiddies listen, should enjoy this work well enough.

These books follows the adventures of Bish, and his hack and slash fantasy journeys.

I have always taken issue with the narrator Lee Alan. He reads in a very cartoonish style, with sound effects and exaggerated, stereotypical voices. My nephews love him, but as an adult, I feel his work takes away from the seriousness of the novels.

Other than that, I highly recommend the works of Craig Halloran, and thoroughly enjoy the Dark Slayer series.

Master Sinway?

Lots of errors and missing parts. I could overlook them but really bad was there was nothing saying how Master Sinway was finished. That was really Crappy. So I am just guessing lol. Good story though, just need to fix all the mistakes and missing parts for a 5 star

love the action!

I loved the main character and all his gear. I just wish it could go on forever. It would be nice to hear more about the other worlds as well

Horrible editing and narration.

Narrator paused in the wrong places. In one part, a character "kicked" his dry lips in another Edmond became Edward then was once again Edmond. Very poor editing.

Editing needs work

Several times throughout, you can hear someone typing in the background, or someone’s phone going off. It’s at its worse in book nine. You can hear someone typing and clicking a mouse throughout all of chapter 35. It’s pretty distracting. This is the only reason this didn’t get 5 stars for performance and overall. The story is phenomenal and the performance is spectacular. The different voices the reader uses are so recognizable to each character that you know who’s talking immediately.

Wow

Love the Narrator and the sound effects. Could do with the cuss words in the background and the background noise. Otherwise great!
