About this listen

Lutz and the party are finally back where everything began, but as they found out when they encountered a full power Archfiend, their strength isn't enough to defeat the fiends of Chaos. So, Lutz decides that a grinding session is long overdue! This time, they're going to one of the most feared dungeons in the Orakian Kingdom: The Beast Warrens.

But a trip to a dungeon isn't all Lutz has planned. There are many things to do and people to see. Fooling nobles for his benefit, meeting old acquaintances, and perhaps even hatching a scheme of his own. Lutz and the girls will be very busy, indeed.

Prepping

Mostly set up for the next book since the big bad thinks the main threat is dead with a few lower stake threats taken care of before the next big power up

faster pace and closing lose ends

the pacing of Volume 7 is a little faster and about 90% of it is lower stakes than the previous volumes. regardless it is thoroughly enjoyable

very not bad

low stakes on this one, but great set up for the next. of course a duel narration would be welcomed, but Mason does well.

An epic moment I’d like to share.

Great book fits well with the others, but a coincidental moment while listening made me wanna share in hopes others can replicate the moment for themselves.
During the last dance with the princess, my roommate opened their door and I heard “Holding out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler playing during this dance. Given the situation & tension with the king and princess, as well as the other heroes at the time, it was a great coincidence and made it memorable. I highly recommend it if you are willing/able.

when the time!

The story continues to build. Not many stories feel with the time but this one is. The story continues to build without losing what made it great.

Still the best story

This series has become my favorite in the litrpg genre. While the great story continues, I had to mark lower the performance. Apart from the usual mispronunciation of some words, I could hear what sounded like lip smacking and/or key clicking on this one and found it distracting. Still though, this is my favorite series.

Story continues strong

Okay, my major problem with this one was that i had to play with the volume button all the time because the narrator pretty much starts yelling at random points during conversations or inner monologs of the characters
