Publisher's summary

Employers look for two things when hiring or promoting people: knowledge and skill. They rarely, if ever, consider character. Yet character is the key to extraordinary business success. The Good Ones presents 10 crucial qualities of high-character employees, qualities that enhance employee satisfaction, client relationships, and the bottom line.

You'll hear stories from managers and employees across the US and beyond who reveal how honesty, courage, loyalty, and patience have helped their organizations maintain an edge over the competition. Each chapter is devoted to a single quality of character and ends with questions employers can use to hire and promote the Good Ones - people who are consistently honest, accountable, fair, and grateful.

Whether you're looking to bring new people into your organization or seeking a job or promotion yourself, The Good Ones will help you appreciate in practical terms why character is the missing link to excellence.

Great Voice, Even Better Content

The only thing better than Bruce's speaking voice is the valuable content he shares. A must listen for anyone looking to build a high quality team or organization that not only performs well, but behaves appropriately.

Who do you want to be or want them to be?

This book could be used by anyone in evaluating themselves as to how they compare in being a high character person. You may feel like you have it all together, but this book will help you identify some areas in which you could improve and grow.

Also, if you are wanting to hire high character people, this book gives you some good questions to ask of candidates and ways to evaluate them.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to be in the club of the most trusted and therefore the most sought out in our society.

Build Your Character

I purchased this audio book because I personally know Bruce Weinstein, The Ethics Guy® to be a man who lives the life he promotes--one of ethics and integrity. Now I can carry Bruce around in my pocket and hear his voice reminding me of the need to be an ethical leader guided by integrity. I appreciate his focus on what it means to have character! This is lost in our world today. What does it really mean and how does it affect businesses? Bruce explores that important question in this book and provides real life examples that crystalize the point he wants the reader to take away. This book will motivate you to be a person of even better character and to use it as a measuring stick in your business as a leader.
