Not For the Self Absorbed!

Tremendous content, not particularly exciting to listen to. I'm successful in business, in part, because of this book! I've read the hardback twice and go back to it every few yrs because I've only mastered half of the concepts. I can guarantee you that those that criticize this book apply VERY little of it!

Short and Straight to the Point!

I listened to other books from Dale Carnegie and I got bored and stopped listening after 1 hour. I was only listening to pointless stories that gave no advice. This book gets straight to the point and is 1.5 hour long. It gave good advice on good communication which is key, good times to communicate, and good places to communicate. He emphasized the importance of communicating with co-workers. He gave the rules that structure keeping a team together.

Precise, and to the point.

To the point, relatable examples. Easy to put into practise. Dale Carnegie uses such carefully chosen words, to be most effective.

Fun quick read.

It’s difficult to follow a legendary book as “How to win friends and Influence People”
While they gave a good stab at it, ultimately the book wasn’t as good. A fun listen, yes. But pales in comparison to the original.

Very clear and easy to understand!

If you could sum up The Leader in You in three words, what would they be?

So very helpful!

What did you like best about this story?

It has clear and easy examples and they are supporting the bones of important aspects of the content, which helped me so much to understand. English is a second language for me, so I appreciate it being clear and easy.

Have you listened to any of Stuart R. Levine’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

Pointing mistakes is easy but important thing is keeping the face of another. It tells me how the real leader should be.

Any additional comments?

You'll learn very basic and important rules of being a good leader no matter how your jobs are - a mother of staying at home, a volunteer worker, a manager of a big or small company... Being a leader is a must idea we should learn and it gave me hope that if I stick to these rules, I'll have more confidence as a better leader in my career, at home and for myself as well. Highly recommended.

Good Book, Audio is Awful....!

The content of the book was pretty good but the audio sounded like they just copied the audio to a CD from a casssette they had laying around. It souned awful...

Great leadership tips for every aspect of life

My dad was a disciple of Dale Carnegie and taught people how to communicate effectively and motivate others. It was reassuring to know that I had learned and practiced many of these concepts, but could make a conscious and focused effort to be a stronger leader, using the material in this book.
