About this listen

Thrown into a conflict beyond the scope of anything Bye-Bye ever imagined, he will be tested in ways he never imaged. Whether that means stopping a war or just taking the girl he likes on a date, he certainly has his work cut out for him.

Tensions are rising and if Bye-bye and his friends can’t put a stop to a brewing war, Anvilton and Hammerton might just destroy each other. That is, if the other adventurers don’t destroy them first. With the odds stacked against them, will Bye-bye and his friends survive the Mountain Valley War? Or will the flames of war consume them, leaving nothing but ash in their wake?

This is a LitRPG or Gamelit novel in which the story takes place within a world that applies rules commonly found in video games and tabletop role-playing games.

great story as always BUT

I loved this story it was great as always I can't wait for the next one to be released but I feel someone should pay better attention when editing the audio recording of the book in chapters 14 and 17 I struggled to continue listening because every few words the recording would skip and in many parts the voice that is for the game notifications doesn't end in the right spot and you end up hearing the same phrase repeated in the main character voice afterwards its quite frustrating I love the series and I can't wait for next audiobook I just hope more attention is paid to detail of recording qaulity

Epic adventure awaits

No Spoilers: The development in this series has been so rewarding and book 3 really delivers. Exploring the world Carlson built is such a fun experience to get lost in. My SO and I are awaiting book 4 on the edge of our seats. As always, Rennie does a spectacular job of narrating. We devoured the paperback book the instant it came out. Getting to hear the tales of Bye-Bye Jacko again but in her distinctive voice was an excellent way to relive the adventure.

Awesome story and fantastic narration

the adventure continues and we get to enjoy the awesome world, a lot of fact that the narration is even better and the story continues to capture my interest. besides the fact that we are human and technology can suck sometimes the story was excellent can't wait to hear more!

Solid continuation!

Minor audio issues aside, great listen. The narration and story are great. Really looking forward to books 4 and 5 to come to audible, had to read the books to hold me over. Awesome!

Re-edit and re-upload PLEASE

One of the worst editing jobs I’ve come across so far (700+ titles in library). The first two thirds of the book either stutters, skips important parts or doubles on unimportant parts.

The story line is a very good continuation of the series but there’s a MASSIVE OVERLOAD OF STATS. Seriously, it’s like every time the author got grooving well enough that he might have had to stop for a break or think of what was coming next there would be a massive stat dump. Several times entire conversations, an hour of run time, would be interrupted by stat, thought, two or three stat descriptions, parts of a sentence or thought, another stat or two, and then the last of the conversation that should have only taken five minutes or so.

Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the story line but every chapter, battle and conversation has at least one stat that was explained in detail just a chapter or two previously. My suggestion, put the stats at the end of the chapter so we can listen to them if we want or skip to the good stuff if deeply committed to this awesome world building and characters.

amazing

this was a amazing continuation from the previous books. i cant wait to see what happens next.i really enjoyed how this one ended, i didnt see it coming. seeing the progression and the characters working to improve their skills and lvls without just blowing through quest this more enjoyable.

narration was done beautifully, as always by anneliese rennie.

cant wait for the next book to see where the story goes from here.

Must BETTER than it appears

Great story, but it's a shoe string budget. Ok, the production values are low. There are minor errors in the recording (rare, and do not detract from the story). However the creativity of the story and the performance make this series completely worthwhile

Only serious criticism? I want to listen to Book 4 very badly, this was getting good (it's out on paperback at least so not matter what I can get it).

Worth it- give this one a chance and you won't be disappointed.

I love this series!

Great story and narration!

The crew is back, and things heat up as they get involved in a war between two cities...
With the meddling of the gods and sinister forces working behind the scenes, this will prove to be an epic adventure!

Anneliese does a fantastic job with a narration!

I really enjoyed this third book of the series and can't wait to find out what happens next!
