About this listen
A long-dormant mystery comes to life in THE PHOTO ALBUM!
When Bobby McGowan discovers an old photo album belonging to his mother—who was murdered twenty years ago—he becomes convinced that one of the photos holds the key to finally solving her murder.
Despite the protests of his father and sister, Bobby marches forward with the investigation. He builds a website dedicated to the murder of his mother, and receives a message from the purported killer. The game is on.
Set in a world filled with suspense, danger, and secrets, THE PHOTO ALBUM is a gripping thriller that will leave you gasping for air.
Fans of Connelly, Patterson, or Baldacci will love this pause-resisting novel.

I wasn't always like this, you know - paranoid, temperamental, vindictive. I mean, sure, I've always been a bit....high strung. But, I never used to stalk my therapist patients. Or yell at them. Or hold them captive in my garage. No, all of that started after the incidents at Lonesome Woods Boarding School. And I'm not talking about the school shooter. This was something far more insidious - something....infectious. Like a cancerous disease that tore through the student body, rotting young hearts one by one.

Story
There are only three things in this world that are certain: death, taxes, and babies. Nobody knows this truth better than Emily McCoy, a third year resident working in Baby City, the affectionate nickname for the busy Labor and Delivery unit at a New York City hospital. On a typical day in Baby City, Emily delivers more babies than the number of hours of sleep she manages to squeeze in that night. And definitely more than the number of dates she's been on since she started her training in OB/GYN two years earlier.

Fresh out of rehab, Mallory Quinn takes a job as a babysitter for Ted and Caroline Maxwell. She is to look after their five-year-old son, Teddy. Mallory immediately loves it. She has her own living space, goes out for nightly runs, and has the stability she craves. And she sincerely bonds with Teddy, a sweet, shy boy who is never without his sketchbook and pencil. His drawings are the usual fare: trees, rabbits, balloons. But one day, he draws something different: a man in a forest, dragging a woman’s lifeless body.

I really cared about the characters
Great story, I lost my dad young, not from murder but it was still a loss and you carry that with you. I could really understand Bobby’s obsession with each new theory. I really hated Conrad because he was so well fleshed out and described. Great overall story. Can’t wait to start The Other Annie !

Passionate Investigation
I liked how determined Bobby was to find his mother’s killer. However, it was frustrating as a reader when he put himself in danger. It was a page turner. I enjoyed the ending the most.

the narration was too scripted
it was slow plus the narrator tried to hard to sound like a psychopath. I found some parts kind of humorous but don't know if it was suppose to be. it was just ok, I wanted it to hurry up and end.

the narrator was infuriating
I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks and this was by far the worst narration ever. I wanted to quit so many times. The looooongggg pauses after every paragraph, the goofy voices, the same voice for multiple characters. I don't need a Broadway production, just read the dang book!. It was so hard to get past the narration that I had trouble enjoying the book. I think it was interesting to know the killer somewhat early on and see things play out on his/her side. I will read another Brian Sullivan book but it will be print since I see the same narrator is used for The Other Annie also. I just can not.
