I have listened to this at least 3 times.

This book is packed with exercises, takeaways and life examples. I haven't looked in to any other titles on the topic but I don't feel that I need to. I felt like it was that good.

Hope to move what is stuck.

Weather you are a novice at writing or experienced there is something in this Book for everyone. Great techniques for incorporating writing into daily living and use of writing to create change. Just wish the book had an accompanying PDF of writing prompts outlined.

Inspirational and thoughtful

Excellent!

This book came to me at exactly the right time. I'm in the middle of writing a novel and had, as a result, quit writing in my personal journal. This got me back on track...in my novel and in my life.

Great Content, needs a PDF

I am 3/4 of the way through the book and feel confident in saying that the content of this book has been overall, pretty great. Lots of new ways of thinking and writing. The premise of the book is really about how writing can help us know ourselves better and heal ourselves, which is exactly what I was hoping for, and by and large, the author delivers.

There are a few spots when it feels like the author drifts into her other expertise - being an author, which really didn't feel applicable, but fortunately, she came back to the main subject quickly.

The book lost a star because any audiobook that has exercises or activities in it should, IMO, also include a PDF of those exercises/activities. No one I know listens to audiobooks just sitting waiting to take notes. Most of us are listening while walking, working out, driving, etc. when it might not be safe to bookmark. Having the writing prompts in an accompanying PDF would have made the content much more actionable and helpful.

Encouraging! Great for Goal Setting.

A must buy. I read and reread this book often. One of my favorite of all time books!!! Not just for writers… it helps me with my journaling practice to envision/ fulfill goals and take small steps in life. Book helped me to find meaning after some hard times. Very encouraging book!!!

Well rounded information!

I thoroughly enjoyed this. A lot of perspective as well as scientific based information. I finished it in 2 days, just couldn’t stop listening. I’m at a place in my life where I’m looking to find a better coping strategy and my therapist has been telling me to start journaling. I bought this to dip my toes into the idea and I’m glad I did. Worth the listen!
