About this listen

Welcome to the second installment in the Realm Between series by Phoenix Grey.

Will Galvan is no longer a noob to The Realm. In fact, he's no longer Will Galvan. Emerged as Azure and still undecided about his class, the new hero is ready to face the cause of the curse on Crescent Island head-on. Little does he know that in-game decisions may have real-world consequences, up to and including death.

But more importantly than all of that, the mystery of Uden is revealed. Is he a good guy? A bad guy? A good guy who just happens to also be an a-hole? Keep listening to find out!

Adventure awaits in this mix of dungeon crawler and slice-of-life LitRPG.

I liked the first part of the book as it felt it completed the beginning of the story. once the MC got off the island the big thing that kept crossing my mind is that this 23 year old man is coming across as a winey high school kid who isn't getting their way. I'm hoping that he grows up once he starts getting used to his new world. have to see how it goes in the next book.

not bad for book 2.

the story starts where the previous book ends. my only nitpick is that the main character who is a grown adult has the qualities of a spoiled 8 year old who somehow thinks he's entitled.
if you can get past that then you're golden.

it's good

This was a good sequel and sad about Uden. Lonel on the other hand is now selfish, Squalls End seems like a poor sad place to be. At least Asher can now fish.

Good Sequel

I really enjoyed the first book, however to me this falls victim to the sequel not holding up to the original. Very little happens and the story doesnt feel like a complete tale in my opinion. I'll continue the series and hope book 3 finds the magic again.

The first book was good but the second one definitely got me hooked into the series, great system so far and I appreciate the skill to gain/progression. the characters seem unique and the narrator does a good job bringing them to life.

the bad for me personally is the main characters vocabulary with people is just so,much rinse and repeat I feel. but I tuned it out after a bit and focused on thr intense fights and story.

for me as a honest review id say 8/10 will look forward to the 3rd installment and hope for more improvement like we had seen from 1 to 2.

good sequel

The story is progressing but without a whole lot of progression. I am totally enjoying the story, I just thought there would be more level building. The next one will have a bit more action i hope.

I want more

I was liking the story, right up to the graphic description of sirens, then the book just turned into a bad skinamax in book form..if I wanted porn, I would go watch one...no need for graphic descriptions, in entertainment books..

High hopes, but meh

I picked up the first 4-5 books of this series intent on giving them a good solid try and ignoring the people calling them half finished or partial novels. Honestly I would have been better off if I’d just heeded their warnings. While the nation is well done and I have no problems with it that is basically all I can say positively about the series. If you don’t mind the idea of paying multiple times the price you generally expect for a “goodish” story then I’d say read them on KU if you can stand to read them without the narrator doing their best to make up for a poor story. Honestly the first 3-5 books should all be ONE book and most likely even beyond that because this author repeats himself endlessly and needs a major editing overhaul there’s so much back and forth that is really pointless and in the second book and afterwards it seems like plot decisions are made on the author’s whim and not necessarily AT ALL in line with the characters own ethos or attitudes! It’s almost like the author say down with a predetermined idea of where he wanted to take the story and then his imagination and characters tried to become more than he was willing to let them be and he just shoved everything back into his little boxes where he thought he wanted them and it all turned into as my mom would say jokingly “One mell of a hess!” My simple opinion having read several of them is easily summed up as ‘don’t bother there are hundreds of other stories by far better authors out there!”

Well done narration that had little to work with

horrible main character he is a follower not a learder. in able to stick up for him self while 1 family manipulates him to doing there quest for the good of the village and the he caves like a little ***************************** when it come time to save 3 woman he vowd to save... weak.. he should of stepped up or just not put them in the book make side character seem selfish.
