I'm going for it!

The narrator was a little slow but thank goodness we can speed it up on our devices. It was very informative and straight forward. Well worth the read. I'm going to give the diet a try and see how effective it is.

Useful but there are better reads on the subject

Slightly better than average diet book based on ideas contained, but that's not saying much. Includes the obligatory glowing testimonials from closely controlled victims and promotion of the authors supplement line. Could have been half as long. The short version is, eat a high fiber paleo diet, plus limited beans and unsweetened dairy, probiotics and soluble fiber supplements. As eating that much animal food is unethical and promotes cancer if you live longer than cave man, i.e. over 25, it doesn't work for me. Narrator sounds like a pseudo-snooty ice queen. If you like the typical, hopeful, its not your fault dear it's the system/genetics/etc., diet as self-help book tone, it's a useful way to get the information. Otherwise The Good Gut is a much more scientific, practical read promoting a healthier long term dietary solution.

The best low carb, weight loss book that works for me.

Easy to understand and very helpful. The best book for me on this topic .easy to follow the program and if one does it right, good results will follow.

Excellent, informative, life changing

Brenda Watson does a wonderful job explain the relationship between a balanced, healthy gut and a healthy, lean life. This book is not just about losing weight but also how to have a better, healthier and more energetic life. A must read/listen for everyone.

Very practical guide to eating and good health

Has a great summary of all the most current research on gut micro-biome and health. Very good and practical guide to healthy living with a the right food, lifestyle, nutrients, and gut bugs. Useful, easy to understand, and clear.

Fascinating!

I selected this book mainly to learn more about the microbiome and health. I really enjoyed it and learned a great deal about how manipulating gut health via probiotics and other strategies impact weight and well-being! Surprising info on how gut microbes impact mood and anxiety! A must read! I actually decided to listen to this book after having great success with her Renew Life Probiotics...life changing!
