Publisher's summary

After concluding their first year at Lorian Heights, Corin and his friends catch a train from their native Valia to the distant country of Caelford.

For most, this would be a simple vacation. Corin has other plans:

  • Meet Anabelle Farren, the eccentric owner of Farren Labs, and learn about artificial attunements.
  • Seek out Warren Constantine, a previous Arbiter, for training and a potential alliance.
  • Find the visage Ferras herself to seek a cure for Sera's condition.

Of course, Corin is Corin, and there's absolutely no chance he's going to be able to stick to a list. Even if he miraculously developed a sense of focus, he isn't the only one with plans....

The Blackstone Bandit. Everyone's favorite mysterious book entity. The aforementioned Farren. A vacationing professor. The mirror of a figure from Keras' past. When their plots intersect, Corin and his friends are, predictably, stuck at the center.

It's going to be a long vacation.

Amazing as always

evey book in this series seems to just deepen my love for the world being built . The view of magic is done in such a way that is new and imaginative. This is a series I've personally suggested to many people. that ending though 😆

I love Andrew

this book was really good though I did disagree with some of the choices that the mc made. I wish that he would do a POV of Melissa, Patrick and Sarah. overall I loved this book.

Worth it! Can’t wait for the next one!

Love this series and anything Nick Podehl narrates is golden! Can’t wait to see where the story goes from here. Kind of a cliff hanger at the end.

Great characters and story!

Continuing on in a wonderful fashion, these stories are pleasantly complex, with good surprises, but subtle foreshadowing thank some may be able to sus out. Fun narration and voice over work, and always narrated by the character telling the stories. I highly recommend Andrew Rowe's body of work!

Enjoyed it

I really enjoyed the progression for the characters in this book. I liked that they finally spent some normal time in the towers for once! I do wish there would’ve been a little bit more and faster progression on the story line itself. I felt like it needed just a little more. But, I guess that’s what makes you look forward to the next book lol

I love these books. They are fun and bring a gamer's perspective to fantasy writing. The characters are quirky and lovable. I highly recommend all of his books.

Probably the best of the series so far

A definite home run. I hope this series has many more installments coming. Hard to not liking Andrew’s writing and Nick’s narration.
