Proof there is hope after gaslighting

This is a subject that has needed, and very much deserves, more attention and understanding. Dennis has done a fantastic job of truly helping to debunk and clarify gaslighting, the harmful effects, and the way forward when the bottom of your world seems to have given out. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has suffered from a toxic relationship.

Really good book

I just ended a relationship because of all sorts of toxic dynamics. I suspected gaslighting... something that was kind of new to me. This book explains everything really clearly. It can be subtle and is always such manipulation that you're not even sure it's happening. I found this book really useful in learning about it as well as techniques for healing and most importantly, never letting it happen again! Highly recommended.

Amazing Book!!

I loved listening to this book as it is such a relevant topic. For some time now, even back into early history, relationships have been the the center stone for abuse. So many many people struggle with knowing the what the red flags are, and getting out early. Most of the time its because of child hood abuse as well. What I love about this book is how the abuse is identified as being more than just physical and can be hidden behind a persons words, and actions as well. Sometimes even actions that may seem supportive and loving in the beginning but are only ways to pull a person into the lifestyle easier. The author does a great job at reminding us that our feelings matter no matter how a person flips it around helping us to trust our selves more!!! and most importantly helping to remember how to recover from such horrible energy once removed from the situation!!! So many us need this book, I recommend it to everyone with a loved one that may be dealing with toxic energy in a relationship.

Insightful and helpful

I'll be honest, I think most people at some point in there lives fall victim to this. We don't always know it or define it as gaslighting and most of us are ashamed to admit this happened to us or we allowed this to happen to us. And once you leave or are removed from that situation time helps us to realize what was happening to us. Then, if you are like me you worry about it happening again...

I really liked the chapter focusing on techniques to keep it from happening again. For me, I found it insightful and where I took the most notes.

Overcoming a narcissistic magic spell

Thanks, Dennis, for this informative and revelating audiobook. Surviving a narcissistic relationship is a never-ending story, especially when this relationship is with a family member. The importance of breaking apart from the verbal abuse that we suffer from the gaslighting from a narcissist is crucial to healing ourselves. Remember that all the words coming out from a narcissistic person are not a magic spell, and we can break free from those words is very important.

I recommend this book to anyone that lives with or is a survivor of a narcissistic relationship.
