About this listen
In this supportive and straightforward guide, Lundy Bancroft, the author of Why Does He Do That?, and communication specialist JAC Patrissi offer a way for women to practically take stock of their relationships and move forward, with or without their partners. Women involved in chronically frustrating or unfulfilling relationships will learn to: tell the difference between a healthy yet difficult relationship and one that is really not working, recognize the signs that their partner has a serious problem, stop waiting to see what happens and make their own growth the top priority, and prepare for life without their partner, even as they keep trying to make the relationship work.

Superheroes don't start from glorious beginnings. Their origins are almost always marked by traumatic events that leave them helpless and scared. Batman witnessed his parents' murder. Superman was sent away from his dying planet with no one to guide him as he grew up. Orphaned Catwoman was forced to steal food to survive on the streets of Gotham. What makes these superheroes super is their determination to not be defined by helplessness. They embrace their origins, their flaws, and their mistakes and strive every day to become the best versions of themselves.

Understanding why abusive partners do what they do and how/why it affects you, give this a listen it’s groundbreaking
For me, this book has changed my entire outlook on abuse and toxic relationships. Putting everything in the correct perspective and focusing on the health and well-being of the abused person significantly more than the motives and tactics of the abuser and their lack of self awareness or ability to change, which is the main focus of other outlets who talk about “The Narcissists”. The approach taken here is far better in that it captures a much wider range of abuser and puts them directly at fault for their actions and takes the blame off the abused person as described within. More people need to hear this book as it answers and guides so well to solve so many issues created intentionally by the abuser, absolutely groundbreaking. Thank you for creating this content, sincerely.

Should I stay or should I go ?
Absolutely the best book , hit the nail on the head of my husband, a definite eye opener for the ones who are in an abusive relationship. Priceless info to help yourself + your children.
