About this listen

Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor continues her rule in Hell in the scorchingly funny finale to the New York Times best-selling Undead series.

In the final Undead novel from New York Times best-selling author MaryJanice Davidson, all hell has literally broken loose. While Queen Betsy's first press conference brings her more fame and attention than ever before and a PR team is compiled for damage control, the devil has escaped and remains at large in the world. Oh, and the werewolves have come to town - as have the mermaids - to lend their support...or wait to see who falls, and how hard.

It’s Done?! But but...

I’m going to miss Betsy. I’ve truly enjoyed her antics as well as the loveable characters she’s always surrounded by. I truly hope that Laura ends up in hell, sans her powers of course. She deserves to be completely miserable for the injustices she caused, and as for Betsy’s father? Oh he’s sooo going to hell. Enough about what should come to pass. This was a phenomenal end to a great series. As per usual Nancy Wu did an awesome job, couldn’t ask for a better narrator. I think she may have made my list of favorite narrators due to this series.

Great ending

Overall, I really enjoyed this series. There were few books toward the end that seemed to be a retelling of the previous novels but this one came full circle, let everyone get their happily ever afters, and let us know what will happen in the future of these characters. Finally, I think Betsy learned some lessons.

Finally

Would you consider the audio edition of Undead and Done to be better than the print version?

I've been waiting for Betsy to grow up and with the last two books, it seemed like she was finally ready to be the Queen we were waiting on

Repeating a chapter from the last book??

Lots of repetition from other books, including a whole chapter. Interesting main premise but not enough to save the whole book. Haven’t quite finished but not holding out hope for a spectacular ending.

Fitting farewell

I want to start this review to thanks the author for a most enjoyable series and lovable characters. I've enjoyed seeing Betsy mature in her own way over the years. I like the way all of the loose ends are tied up and in very creative way. Most of the plot I didn't expect, and that is very good.

In this last book many loose ends have to be tied up. I list only a few here, Baby John and what is his future, why do the twins pop in and out, what's going down with Laura and how is she going to resolve. Mark, how is mark going to be happy? We hear from the Aunt and some other underworld favs.

Okay, if you come this far, this is a must read of a present and funny series. I won't spoil it, the the last few minutes are so Betsy!

Hate Turned to love!!

At first I thought Betsy was the worst she was obnoxious and, the narrators voice made her character even more unbearable which made me want to quit reading several times but I really liked the other characters so I continued to keep reading and I’m so glad I did as Betsy was still Betsy but you could see her get a little less annoying as the series went on. And all my annoyance for her turned into great appreciation!!

A worthwhile ride

I actually love how insane this series got towards the end— the rules were always a little lose, but by this instillation, it was definitely very silly. Will definitely come back to Betsy and Sinclair at some point, as Nancy Wu’s narration was always stellar!

Repetitive and irritating

I started this series several years ago and absolutely loved it. Maybe because at that time I was in my early twenties, now in my early thirties it’s not nearly as enjoyable. To be honest I don’t know why I’ve continued to purchase each book, I just hate to leave a series unfinished. I haven’t finished the whole thing yet but yikes, already 2 chapters are literally copy and paste from a previous book. The constant repetition from previous books is aggravating and the footnotes annoying. I’m not sure if that author is just trying to make the book longer to fill space or what. Betsy has hardly evolved, Laura is whiney with no depth, and Sinclair is shallow and predictable. I’m don’t have high hopes for the end of this book. I had hoped the author would evolve these characters (at least Betsy). There is an over saturation of Christianity through out the last few (not exactly what I’m looking for in romance novels!). Betsy is down right irritating through the last few books with her self absorption and inability to pay attention. I originally planned to go through the rest of this authors series but after listening to undead and underwater I have no desire since all her lead characters seem to have essentially the same personality. Very disappointed.
