About this listen

The four rules of freelance villainy are as follows:

1. Always wear a mask

2. Never hurt civilians

3. Never kill the heroes you’re paid to fight.

4. And the bad guy always loses.

I've made a good career following the rules and taking on superheroes in scripted fights. But I'd never dreamed it would end up with me dating two stunning supervillainess, getting a household death ray, and having a mad scientist living in my basement.

But you roll with the punches in this business. Be it coaching yandere psychics on the art of villainous monologuing, sourcing costumes from busty demonic fashionistas, or taking down a superarms dealers trying to kidnap my mad scientist. One thing's for sure, there's never a dull moment being the bad guy.

Villain for Hire is a humorous adventure through the world of heroes, superpowers, love, and villainy. Featuring nefarious plots, monsters, mecha fights, and demonic dressmakers, this adventure is sure to delight.

This was such an enjoyable listen. It definitely walks a fine line between the naïveté of golden age comics and the campiness of 60’s Batman, without sounding cheesy, unless it’s called for. Just trust me, it works. I have the same complaint as the first book…not long enough.

Great follow up!

in a time where superhero books are a dime a dozen, this series is a breath of fresh air.
villanny for hire is a super fresh take on the formula.

What I like most about this is the light hearted treatment that being a professional villain takes on and while there are clearly truly evil people out and about in this universe most of the villains are just trying to make ends meet with the hand of cards they have been dealt

Villains here and there, villains everywhere

This was a great book two that is taking the story in a great direction I think. From solo to mentor Victor is now looking to reluctantly begin running his own evil organization. The story progression, plot, and character development are spot on in this book series. I would highly recommend this series to fans of the genre.

Great Series Continuation

And an unsocialized snow queen and attention-grabbing psychic with baggage.
Yet it all works out for you if you're the master of magnetism.
This series is great!

It's hard to find a harem book with some femsub BDSM in it. There isn't a lot of that here, but enough to make it stand out in a good way.

Apart from that, it's quite enjoyable! A fun take on the superhero trope. I'm enjoying seeing the story arc progress and advance the main character. The "junk mecha" bit was over the top, it's still an entertaining, light-hearted superhero novel.

It definitely sounds different from the previous book. The male voice actor has been replaced. I feel like there's less character voice work than before, but the main thing that bothers me is when the male and female voice actors will pronounce words differently. The word that most grates on me is the name of the ice powers girl, Glacia. It's clearly meant to be inspired by "Glacier," not "Glass," so don't pronounce it "glass-ia"!

But still, other than that - very enjoyable book and I'm going to dive into the others in the series.

Entertaining and a little kinky

Fun story, loveable characters, protagonist with actual reasons behind his actions, and a world filled with potential and dying to be explored.

The Super series I've been waiting for.

New male voice narrator knocks it out of the park. He delivers an amazing Magneron and I usually don't like narrator changes but he breaths life into the characters. We get dolly's back story and some great spice. I love the story and can't wait for Magneron to walk the path to a supervillan.

A great continuation of the series loved it.
