About this listen

If you had to choose between your life and your dreams, would you ever wake up?

Alan Campbell thought he'd gotten his dream job working on a revolutionary VRMMORPG with Osmark Technologies, until the project was canceled. He has one weekend to dive into an untested world full of intrigue, violence, and corruption to prove that Viridian Gate Online works, but the AIs running the game have their own plans for his soul.

Set a year before the events of Viridian Gate Online: Cataclysm, Viridian Gate Online: Nomad Soul takes you back to when VGO was just a game, or so it seemed.

I have enjoyed the VGO stories so much? I am sad this is the last storyline. This is my favorite so far. Short review, I need to quickly download the next in the series.

best yet

I was a bit grumpy when this was published: I'm past ready to go back to advancing the main story line. But the book turned out to be full of twists and revelations. It's a more more complex backstory that fills out the world and how it came to be, and how Sandra and Osmark came to be who they are when we meet them. It's totally worth a credit. My interest in the side-quests has also been renewed. Now I want more!

Holy doodle!

The author delved into some of pre-VGO story, which helped to provide a fuller understanding of some of the primary characters. I enjoyed the main character and look forward to listening to the next book in this series.

Spoiler....

Sandra seems to nice in this story as does Thanatos. Maybe something will happen to change that is the next book.

My favorite book in the expanded VGO World

If you like the other viridian gate stories you will probably enjoy this as well. It does however get confusing at times when the author changes point of view.

the voice actor does a good job and on top of that I would strongly recommend before reading this one you read the primary Viridian gate series but I would also advise you read the primary series before reading any of the side series as it gives a lot of context

a good book for litrpg fans

This story is well written and fantastically performed by the narrator. It will suck you in and keep you wishing for more. I love the way the author describes the scene with plenty of detail but not so much that it takes away from the flow of the story. It doesn't have the big battles like most LitRPGs have but plenty of intrigue and drama to make up for it. The narrator voices the MC very well and gives credit to the rest of the supporting roles.

I love this series!
