About this listen

An Amazon Charts and Wall Street Journal bestselling series.

Solving a decades-old disappearance sets Tracy Crosswhite on a dangerous collision course with the past in a pulse-pounding novel by New York Times bestselling author Robert Dugoni.

Detective Tracy Crosswhite has agreed to look into the disappearance of investigative reporter Lisa Childress. Solving the cold case is an obsession for Lisa’s daughter, Anita. So is clearing the name of her father, a prime suspect who became a pariah. After twenty-five years, all Anita wants is the truth—no matter where it leads.

For Tracy, that means reopening the potentially explosive investigations Lisa was following on the dark night she vanished: an exposé of likely mayoral graft; the shocking rumors of a reserved city councilman’s criminal sex life; a drug task force scandal compromising the Seattle PD; and an elusive serial killer who disappeared just as mysteriously as Lisa.

As all the pieces come together, it becomes clear that Tracy is in the midst of a case that will push her loyalties and her resilience to the limit. What she uncovers will come with a greater price than anyone feared.

Keep them coming!

I love the Tracey Crosswhite series. I hope the story continues. The characters are all amazing and I never want the story to end. The narrator is great she does a good job distinguishing between all the different voices even the male voices. This book was great the crooked cops and drug stories aren’t my favorite but the story was well written and I hope to see many more books in this series!

An excellent read

Dugoni has captured my attention more than once, but this book was well above par. The story unfolded in such a way that I was compelled to finish it in bed. Mind you that I had returned home after a three hour drive and was really tired. I hate giving away any plot details so I won't, but the book could have ended after the halfway mark like so many of these reads on Amazon. Dugoni chose to tell the full story for which I am grateful. This is a quality read.

Dugoni is one of my favorite crime fiction writers

And Emily Sutton-Smith is one of my favorite narrators. The Tracy Crosswhite series is replete with good, likable and ‘hateable’ characters and interesting storylines. In this novel Dugoni gets away from the villains attacking the heroine and calamitous last second revelations/conclusions of earlier novels in this series. Instead, this book is more detective work, personal and political intrigue woven into a complete and believable (if somewhat maudlin) storyline.

Loved it!

This was another great story with plenty of twists as turns as all of this pieces came together. Tracy had a lot of pushback on finding this missing person and solving the case but once something piques her interest she doesn’t let it go. This was very well written and I hope we continue to get a little more resolution with the higher ups in future books. I can’t wait for the next Tracy Crosswhite novel! I love them and am fully engaged the entire time and not ready to leave.

How can these still be so good!??!

These books are fantastic! Each one seemingly better than the last. The narrator is stellar. I'm already excited for the next one. I hope he will write 10 more!

Love The Series, Just One Little…

I’m never disappointed with Robert Dugoni. I love the Tracy Crosswhite series. Emily Sutton-Smith does a great job with her voice work. Each character’s voice mannerisms are uniquely their own. Therese, Del and Faz.
I had one issue with this book. It is more for those who have already read the book. No DNA test for confirmation?

Nine Novels In And Another Great Read

This is the ninth novel in the Tracy Crosswhite series, and I find myself enjoying it just as much as I did at the beginning. Each novel has been so well written, tightly plotted, nicely paced. What She Found is more of the same, and that's a wonderful thing. Robert Dugoni has a tremendous ability to write engrossing mysteries with procedural elements galore, while keeping the pace and the story interesting all the while. The story in What She Found is so good because (no spoilers) there is a very grounded sense of reality to the fact that some things are resolved and yet other things are, not unresolved, but still ongoing with a future resolution possible with the "when" and "if" being a bit cloudy. I love this because it doesn't leave me feeling unfulfilled with the story, because there are some serious happenings and revelations, but there's also the reality of life, society and political machinations. I'm such a huge fan of Robert Dugoni because he writes gripping, entertaining novels, but doesn't leave out reality within the fiction. It's an escape with a nod to life. I highly recommend What She Found, especially if you enjoy realistic, well written crime fiction.
