About this listen

An original audio series featuring brand new content from decluttering expert Dana K. White.

Do you wish a decluttering expert could come alongside you to help tackle specific roadblocks that always derail your decluttering journey? Dana K. White, self-proclaimed recovering slob and author of Organizing for the Rest of Us and Decluttering at the Speed of Life, is here to help with her original audio series, Decluttering Deep Dives.

Each installment of Decluttering Deep Dives covers a frequent problem that Dana hears about from her readers and listeners. Featuring Dana’s signature light-hearted voice and approachable tactics, Why Cleaning Felt Impossible dives into these common struggles:

  • Fighting to get your house clean and not being able to keep it that way
  • Shoving everything in closets, rooms (with doors that lock!), and junk drawers in a desperate attempt to keep your stuff under control
  • Moving stuff around but never getting it organized
  • Cleaning for hours without actually making progress on the mess (or even getting to the point of picking up a cleaner)

Fans of Dana’s podcast, A Slob Comes Clean, will love Dana’s in-depth conversation filled with workable solutions for you to make your space the peaceful, organized home you need and want.

how relatable this was for me

I liked how real and honest she is about this topic that not most people like to talk about as someone with ADHD it really has helped me

Dana really broke the clutter dread for me like no one else. I have all her books. Plus she's so funny 😄

Dana White’s smarts and humor. I finally saw the light when she said “think of your room as a container!”

She speaks my language

I am so glad I found Dana K White’s audios and books. I immediately made progress because she addressed why I felt the way I do and how to look at things differently. Know I can let go of things. I feel so much better and I am just getting started.
Thank you, Dana.

So short

Crazy short definition should not have used a credit on it. Basically clutter makes it hard to clean your house.

Too short for one credit

I had read another one of Dana's books and really felt like I got a lot out of it. I thought this one was going to delve more into some of the psychology of way we feel overwhelmed and gift tips on how to tackle things after I purchased it I realized how short it was. I don't feel like I learned anything new from this book. I think Dana is great, but this book missed the mark.

Very short I was hoping for more information

In my opinion not worth 1 credit it’s very short. More like a podcast not a book. I enjoy her audible books that are more lengthy.

Disappointed. Too Short…could be a cheap pamphlet.

Dana is very good at taking a long time to say one thing. Even though this is short, the content could have been less making the narrative even shorter. This book could easily be a pamphlet and cost less. This is very much not worth a credit.
