Valuable resource

Came across this and found it to be a really useful and practical tool that I can use every day. Life is challenging enough for busy working mothers and a lot is expected of us, at work, at home and everything in between. It is important to take care of ourselves, especially in difficult (and explosive) times and this book lays it out nicely and in a positive way. Spare a couple of hours and you will not regret it, I highly recommend this book!

Great resource

This workbook is wonderful! There is a lot of great practical and useful information. I learned how to understand my anger, identify my triggers, how to get past them. This audiobook provides a number of great tips and strategies, such as the CBT approach, to utilize on your journey to a happier and healthier you. The narration was soothing and perfect for a topic like this. Listening to the audio book put me in a Zen like state. I highly recommend this audiobook!

Loved Every Minute of this Audiobook!

The book teaches you how to handle most stressful situations without anger or shouting but instead calmly and peacefully.

It teaches you how to channel your anger in positive ways. It helps you identify the triggers that were setting you off.

This book will teach you to be an effective communicator, no matter the situation.

Great book about changing how you deal with anger

This is an excellent resource for any woman who has ever felt out of control (ie all of us!). In this book, the author discusses ways to channel your anger into something more positive, shows you how to recognize what your triggers are and deal with them before it’s too late.
It’s not about judging your anger, it’s about recognizing what triggers it and learning how to control it. Not surprisingly, when we cannot control our emotions, it makes sense that our health can also suffer. There are many real life examples that make this book easy to identify with. There are so many things that women struggle with, and without the proper tools to help us navigate our emotions, it is easy to see how so many of us are stressed out and not living our best lives.
I especially appreciated all of the exercises to help you become more mindful of how you are feeling, by teaching you how to identify triggers, how to communicate your needs better and how to take a step back and deal with what you are experiencing without making things worse. When you are able to process your feelings, you are much more likely to be able to respond calmly instead of reacting like a crazy person.
The author teaches us that blaming environment, our kids, spouse, coworkers or boss for causing us to become angry or frustrated is not helpful. Instead, with CBT, mindfulness and self reflection, we can begin to learn how to change the way we manage our negative emotions. She gives you techniques to help de-escalate when you are ready to blow, and teaches you how to express anger in more healthy, less destructive ways.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has trouble with feeling angry or frustrated more often than they want to. It puts everything into perspective and teaches you tips and tricks that are easy to apply to your daily life that make a huge difference to how you (and your loved ones) react to stressors.

fantastic

understanding emotions and how it affects our behavior help one control the out come of relationships. either how to navigate someone else's emotions because you can recognize it or how to recognize it in yourself to control it. this book will help from either side.

The much needed companion!

Very resourceful. It walks you through the causes of anger, how to identify your triggers, and then the methods to channel your anger in a positive way. This audiobook is filled with activities and exercises to help you through the process of discovering yourself and see how best to manage your emotions and difficult people around you that otherwise trigger this anger. As a woman with a traumatic past, this audiobook has been able to provide me with every help I need to reshape my future. It is filled with all the details you need to get the right help. I am going to get the hardcover of the book as well as I want to be able to keep it very close to me at all times. It is the much-needed companion I have been looking for. Highly recommended.

Easy to follow steps to controling Anger!

At first, I was taken aback, I don't need Anger Management! However, as I turned the pages I realized all humans can use some help with stepping back and being aware of this emotion, From car rage to arguments with your partner, the author provides excellent advice with steps to follow so you can learn from this emotion rather than bury it deep down within. Each chapter offers assistance with living life in control of emotions and literally finding joy in life. I highly recommend!

A great overview on dealing with anger management!

This audiobook does a great job of discussing anger management, how to identify your source of anger and frustration, how to express this to your partner, and how to channel your anger into something positive! Although this book is focused on women, I feel that the guiding principles are also applicable to the men out there, myself included. I find myself frustrated and angry also, at times and the tools and skills learned in this book were helpful to me also! Great book overall, I did find the narration a bit slow for my own taste and listened in 1.2x speed and it was perfect!

Don’t give fuel to the fire!

Women have many good reasons to be angry today, and the author acknowledges our real struggles as parents, in business, and in relationships. And we are unjustly criticized as “overreacting”, “drama queens” or my favorite “Karens”. But with these strategies, we can process our feelings and develop calm, measured responses. We can then proceed with addressing and eliminating those who don’t belong, and no one has to lose a limb! I needed this book - thank you!!

Brilliant! The methods to reduce rage are lovely!

This book's strategies walk you through each step. It also explains the causes of people's irrational anger and other unpleasant emotions which were very helpful. The methods to reduce rage are lovely.
I believe that everyone might benefit from this audiobook's knowledge of learning how to be more balanced and aware of their behaviors. Fantastic book! 5 Stars.
