Publisher's summary

The surface is frozen. The depths filled with monsters. Can anything survive?

Extreme sub-zero temperatures suffocate the surface. Frozen structures of bygone eras span across massive ice-wastes. And the survivors closely guard any technology rediscovered within them.

The only escape from the deadly climate is beneath the surface, but that doesn't mean it's safe...

Monstrous machines lurk in the depths. Unhinged demigods war against them, dying over and over, treating it all like a game. The depths themselves shift over time, more contraption than rock.

When an expedition into the far uncharted north goes terribly wrong, Keith Winterscar and his father get trapped together in a desperate fight for survival. Stumbling upon an ancient war of titanic scale, the two will need to set their differences aside while they struggle against Gods, legends, and the secrets of the realm that lies below.

Don't miss the start of this Progression Fantasy Epic set around a pseudo-medieval society clinging to existence on frozen post-apocalyptic Earth. Impossible odds, weak-to-strong progression, epic battles, scavenged tech, prophecy, magic, and mystery—12 Miles Below has something for everyone. Grab your copy today!

What a fun world

Was not expecting the "depth" this story had and was pleasantly surprised. Does a great job with painting vivid images of the fights. and the Narrator is fantastic.

Unique and intelligent

Unique setting and backstory. Strong world-building. Interesting and flawed but likeable characters.
Give it a chance, this is a good one!

This was a GREAT book

There is a lot of "glut" in the progression genre right now. Most of it falls short of decent, much less epic. However this story falls into the "5 stars - would highly recommend" epic section of my library. Great writing, great narration. I will say that the progression side is not hugely reveled, but you can see that the author is doing some major set up for what is going to be a massive story arc. It was very entertaining with fast and tight pacing the whole way through with close to no flaws. To be very frank, the only thing I could see improvements on is that some of the quips felt a little forced, but only a few and only a little. For a first time release from a new author, that's amazing. I think this book is something of a blend between Way of Kings (even has a little homage paid - you'll see) and A.F. Kays Divine Apostasy and a few others too. No spoilers here, but if you like your fantasy/sci-fi blends to be high quality with real stakes on the line, you want this book.

Great Post-Apocalyptic Story

It reminded of the game fallout but better! Highly recommend if you like sci-fi!

Good fun, but not really progression yet.

The book is really a lot of the fun, and the world building is fascinating and engaging. It's one of the best thought out progression worlds I've seen in a long time. There isn't a lot of progression për së in this book, but you can see how it will happen in the future. It's clearly a first book from a new author, and there are quirks and a certain lack editing that detracts a bit. Overall though I had a lot of fun and in a subgenre filled with mediocrity and bad book, this is a real gem.
