About this listen

Rocket legs and fists full of diplomacy. A world prepared for thunderous progress. Cal returns.

The skies above Olympus rumble as a long pilgrimage reaches its apex. With Cal having reached his lighthouse and found his way home, the ancient dungeon wakes to a world made from the remnants of the old. Caltopia! A glorious planet, complete with an uncharted sea.

A grandfather welcomes Cal home at the end of a great fight and the dawn of a new era. The time for Oaths has come. The memory cores are undone. Odin waits with demons abound, as Artorian delves up ancient heroes from the Divine Dungeon era to help him do the rounds.

Artorian is ready for a knockout and to come to Accords.

The story continues to be just as good as it ever has been. Plenty of hilarious scenes, really good action, heartfelt moments galore. The new narrator throws me off a bit with some of the characters, but that doesn't change my love for this book, and I continue to look forward to the next installation in the series.

Still such a great series

Travis Baldree is an amazing narrator. sometimes. I get books just because he reads them. The new narrator ruined this book. I feel sick inside listening to it. Extremely poor form who ever made that decision.

NOOOOOOO!!! WTF!! WHERE IS TRAVIS!?!

I am not going to say anything bad about the narrator, I even like his Cal voice better. But I only got part way in before returning it. I just couldn't go with the change for the main character. I have too many fond memories of that voice. I will try to find time to continue the story but in book format instead. I had to do the same with the last one in Cal's series as well. Audible, or some one, needs to realize that changing the narrator is like changing the entire cast in a movie series. Yet they have done this so many times and always with large amount of complaints.

To the books from here

He gave Swanson a bloody IRISH ACCENT. The character based entirely on THE RON SWANSON. AN IRISH ACCENT. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!

What is up with this narration?

following the story at this point just feels monotonous. I can hardly keep track of all of the characters, and all of the name changes, and all of the other nonsense. with a change in narrator it made all these problems worse for me, I'm stopping at 8 chapters in, and while it feels like this is probably better than the previous book I just cannot be asked to actually finish it.

the narrator himself is good enough, although he does seem to have a habit of going vaguely English accented for a lot of characters

I'm just not interested anymore

The book was good, slow to start and the new narrator made listening difficult at first. No fault of his own, it's just jarring after 10 books of one voice defining characters. I feel the book was necessary to get information out there though, I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Hard at first but worth it

New narrator isn't that hot and pronounces weirdly ancient as ankshient and some other hiccups. I guess previous one was too expensive. C'est la vie.

New narrator isn't that great

just simply put the overall story divine the performance other than most of the descriptors the Voice actor really needed to study his topic better so many of the main characters in the story or so mis-pronounced or outrightly butchered that I feel slighted as of Cal has tried to interject his puns into the naming schema of the actual story.

here’s hoping that Travis will return for the next AA tome in the 12th book of the series.

PS minus one star also from the performance for no blooper commentary after credits. Crafting patterns matter for curious

Another Sunny Classic with a cringe

This is a great story and narrator, however changing the narrator after 10 books is hard, I know it was probably due to prior narrator obligations but it would be at least in the best interest of the narrator and publisher to keep this in mind for the audience. Changing name pronunciations, and drastic character voice changes after 10 books can take some time to get used to.

Great story and narration, however

Voice actor makes some characters adult while others sound like their noses are pinched.

The story still keeps on track, however the frequent 4th wall references and on the nose mentions are a little to heavy.

Overall I still find it enjoyable to listen while I'm working.

It's still good.
