Interesting

This is my first time reading anything by this author. I found the story line a little strange since it is about a 17-year-old boy and his friends I understand this is a background story that leads into future Jack. For this reason I will try one more book. The story and plot over all were good and well written.

I think this was a Young Adult novel

The main characters in the story were still in school and living at home. The book started off at a fast clip but that dropped quickly and then we were into character development / story development. The interpersonal relationships of the characters were the main focus and I just had to drop the book.

Good story poor storyteller

The storyline was predictable and juvenile but good. The person reading the story was horrible. It sounded like a narrator reading over a children’s book. The character voices were bad and lacked personality. The only difference between characters was the use of deep voices for the males.

Will keep you turning the page

loved this story. Taken from a younger point of view made me feel I was right there with all the action.
The narrator was perfect. Easy to understand and just enough spin to keep you wanting to know what next.

Well written, should be YA

This book was well written and I like another title by this author, but perhaps I missed reading the genre. I would have enjoyed it much more as a teenager, maybe 15 or 16. Didn't finish.

Disappointed

This book seemed very rudimentary and why did Audible put it as book 6 in the series? I've read all the other books and this is pre book 1. This should be .5 book or something, it starts when Jack has just finished high school. This was more a "young adult" book to me rather than a mystery/suspense that I'm used to.

Absolutely amazing!

I couldn’t stop, gulped it in two days. Everything from the story, characters, and a narrator was captivating.

Jack's an Idiot!!

I yelled that many times at my iPad. Good book, but often felt like a Hardy Boys mystery. Love listening to audio books while on long vacation rides, and this was no exception!

And Then She Was Gone

And Then She Was Gone
: Christopher Greyson

A first listen of this author for me. A murder mystery / suspense filled prequel to Jack Stratton detective series. This takes the listener back to the beginning when he was seventeen and planning his future. Now I want to get the series to see what an adult Jack Stratton has become.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Andrew Tell gave an excellent performance.
