About this listen

Many truths have been shrouded in deceit. But lies can only last so long…

With five of the Orbs of Peace still at large and threatening the world’s survival, Cinder and Anya set forth to acquire them by any means. But their efforts—be it through simple ruses, espionage, or even war—are doomed if they cannot first shatter the falsehoods that warp their very memories.

Are they the Blessed Ones of prophecy or simply broken avatars? It is a question without an easy answer, hindered as it is by deceptions that aren’t so easily overcome.

And while there is hope, even with the aid of faithful allies—the Shokans, redeemed wraiths, and a heretofore unknown daughter—if Cinder and Anya cannot forge a new path together, the heart of who they are will be irrevocably broken… And the world with it.

OUTSTANDING

Great book!! I really liked how Cinder and Anya aren’t at each other’s throats and working together again. Teamwork makes the Dream work

Very happy with direction

Don’t listen to the haters. This was a great progression, in many many ways.

I loved it. Very sad it’s over

Sappy

There is a part where you make fun of authors describing every little detail of a soldiers armor. Yet you describe the love between characters like it's not obvious.

Other than all the sappy love stuff, that's basically a romance novel. Great book. I look forward to more.

While I really enjoy all of Davis's books. This one was definitely the best. I'm really loving how he has connected all of series.

Ultimately, I still enjoyed the book ...

...but I can't lie the first 5 or 6 hours of this book were painful.
For a while there I was losing faith, n I did'n kno if I'd get thru it
Eventually there was a payoff, as to whether or not it was worth the wait ...I think I land on yes, but maaaan I wish I cudda known to skip ahead. The pacing could have been a lot better.
The memory angle is "played out" "used up "overdone" ...there is such a thing as too much of a good thing
At this point it feels like a cheap gimmick to introduce tension or some emotional pivot point ...ultimately it jus feels like lazy writing tho
