Thorough, helpful, and a great resource

Chair Exercises for Seniors is a great book that gives you exercises and the benefits of keeping your body healthy as you age. The book provides clear step-by-step instructions and is presented clearly and concisely. Mobility is a huge issue for seniors, and the risk of falls is VERY real. Please take the time to learn ways to improve you or your loved one's health. Highly Recommend!

EXCELLENT BASIC BOOK FOR SENIORS

The author does an outstanding job of explaining why and how to do each exercise. He explains the equipment needed, which is very basic. He tells how we can use household items if we don't have the suggested equipment. He explains ways to decrease the intensity and how to make it more challenging. The audible version was very pleasant to listen to. The narrator takes you through each exercise and explains the importance or keeping fit. I like the phrase used, "we don't stop exercising because we get old, we get old because we stop exercising."

Living a quality life through exercise for Seniors.

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It has a wealth of knowledge to share for seniors looking to improved their quality of life with the aid of exercise. I love how detailed and well structured this is. The author mentioned what Life span and Health span is and why we should strive to achieved both, he also mentioned the places or what they called “Blue zone” and the activities they are doing in those areas so people can have a long and healthy life span. He also mentioned about the common Myth that people are hearing about exercising during their golden years. Also worth mentioning is the detailed step by step exercises that you can do, that is aided by the free ebook that was included on this audiobook. So wether you are an active individual in your senior years or just starting to think of doing an exercise routine for yourself, you cant afford not to have this audiobook. I highly recommend it. Very well done!!!

Workouts When Your Body is No Longer 100%

In this book, the author manages to put a believable, positive spin on the aging process.  The quote used in the introduction about focusing on what a person can do now rather than on what they no longer can do is a great encouragement to anyone who experiences bodily and mobility challenges, whether due to age or injury.

I especially appreciate the emphasis on safety, to not push to pain, and the notion that no workout routine should require 100% effort every workout; bodies' needs ebb and flow over time and the exercises attempted should take those needs into account.  The author structures the presentation of each exercise with flexibility in mind: he provides an in-depth discussion of each target movement, how to adjust a motion to perform a bit less intensely when necessary, and how to make the motion more difficult when a person is ready to ramp up their workout.

Reframing feelings about exercise to the concept of workouts being a gift to yourself and your future self is an essential mantra. I foresee the workouts in this book becoming very popular with anyone who looks at them, whether for themselves or for loved ones who may need them.

Well-thought-out exercises for seniors

This audiobook, along with the PDF copy of the book, exceeded my expectations in terms of how well the author understands the challenges seniors face and how thoughtfully he designed the exercises tailored for seniors. With an aging father, I particularly appreciate the simple exercises and easy-to-follow instructions that consider seniors' physical limitations and existing pain points. Improving seniors' mobility and motivating them to stay active through chair exercises makes aging less daunting and more enjoyable. I highly recommend it.
