Keeping fit as a senior
As a senior myself I have always been a big believer in keeping healthy and fit. I have a home workout I already do 3 times a week, but after listening to this audio I now will add some of the great workout tips and exercises to my weekly routine. Keeping fit and healthy and a strong body core in your senior years will help keep you mentally stronger, and help you preserve your balance and mobility. It all starts with developing a strong mindset to keep you on the right track to staying healthy and fit into your senior years.

Well Researched Guide
I know it’s a well-researched and all-inclusive guide from the view of a physiotherapist. Seniors will learn how to prepare with a warmup and know which exercises should never be done. They also have many cool-down exercises and fun things to do, like pool exercises, dancing, giant games, and much more.
The book considers the various health challenges that seniors face and offers exercises that can be done on a mattress, chair, with a walker, standing up, and on the floor. Everything is well explained, with safety for the elderly as the highest priority.
I love the voice of the narrator. She has the right tone, is passionate, and guides seniors through all chapters, including breathing exercises. Well done, V.L. Cole. And sure, I highly recommend the book for seniors and caregivers.

Bought this for my Mom
I got this for my mother because I had noticed she was slowing down, and I became concerned that she was becoming a bit too sentient. What convinced me to get this book is that it starts at an achievable level for my Mom. She can start with seated exercises or even the floor exercises. This is an entire program she can put together for herself that she can do SAFELY at home. Some of the other things I had looked at for my Mom were too advanced for her, but with this book, she start off where she is, build her strength and balance, and then progress onto more "traditional" exercises. It offers a wide variety of exercises specifically for seniors at various levels.

Very helpful book
This book has been really useful for me and my mum. I have been trying to get my her to exercise and join me for a jog/walk a few times a week but she always declines as she felt nervous about falling over or holding me back because she would be too slow.
I introduced this book to her and we have been exercising at her home whenever she/I have time but it has been lovely to not just exercise together but also we have been using this time to talk, bond again.
The author has done a great job of providing the advice and tips for the seniors to keep fit and become more confident in their movements which in turn helps them to be more social with their families and friends which is great!
Lovely book, would recommend it.
