A Life-line in a wilderness of hurt & dispair
This book has been a Life-line in a wilderness of hurt & dispair.
Leaving someone you love and trying to heal from the relationship, without understanding the emotional guilt and sadness you carry within, over it all, can go on for months, even years.
I was fortunate to be emotionally enlightened as to the pattern & reasons why I was struggling to heal. Fortunate to be shown the path forward, and to finally understand how to get emotionally unstuck.
I am a recovering codependent, except now, I am internally aware of my pattern, and now, I can partner better without being afraid to love & express my needs within a relationship . In addition, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel of loss, guilt and shame.
I will progressively move on to the next phase by practicing release.
This book has been a life-line... and I recommend it
I would equally recommend the book: "Codependent no more"

Complete informational
I went into this book hoping to understand what it is, the root of it, how to stop it, recognizing patterns and behavior. knowledge is power realized I have a few tendancies I personally need to work on. Loved the part on mindfulness and how practicing mindfulness will open doors.

This is a life-changing book to listen. The book is worth getting in hard copy too. This is something I'd listen again in the future to see how I improved my relationships with family and friends. The most important lesson I learned is to evaluate myself and put boundaries.

You should listen to this book
You could be on the receiving end of a codependent relationship, the abuser or even a friend or acquaintance of someone who suffers from a toxic relationship. I think everyone should have a role on how to put a stop on codependence. It's never healthy!
