Amazing Information
I have taken collagen before, so when I saw this audiobook, I was interested in discovering what new information I might gain that I didn't already know. Boy was I surprised! What I thought I knew was minuscule compared to what I learned from listening to this book. My experience with collagen was to try a product for a month. Then when I ran out not replenish it. Later I would see an ad for another product, try it and start the cycle all over again. My purpose was to improve thinning hair as a result of aging. I never stuck with one product long enough to see different results.
This book was really an eye-opener and made a huge impact on me. I had no idea the benefits of taking the right types of collagen. Yes, it helps improve hair health, but it impacts skin, joints, bones, organs, and even blood! Banachowski provides comprehensive details about collagen, what it is, what benefits can be gained by taking it, and critiques of some of the products on the market. He also educates the readers on what to look for when sourcing a collagen supplement for themselves. Additionally, he includes studies of groups of people taking collagen supplements versus placebos and the positive results in the groups taking collagen.
After listening to this book, I will be a "Collagen for Lifer!" I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their health.

My collagen guide!
I've heard many good things about collagen but never tried to learn about it systematically. This book provides the perfect introductory guide. It explains what collagen is, its role in our bodies, and why maintaining and boosting collagen levels is important. I knew aging and genetics were major factors in collagen loss, but I didn't realize that exposure to UV sunlight also causes collagen depletion.
