Creative and Highly Effective
I have never been able to stay awake for this whole program, but I try to get through his Sleep for Healing Hypnosis as it addresses chronic pain. I use this every night and have been sleeping far better. I learned that with PTSD I have missed out on Delta Wave sleep most of my life and this is helping. If I can get enough of that, I may be able to calm the chronic pain from nerve damage.
I find Steven Gurgevich's voice very soothing and his various hynposes surprisingly creative. He gives frameworks around which we can fill in our own stories. I find some other hypnotists to be kind of "Hollywood" dramatic, but this man is terrific and calming and the images he chooses gentle and appropriate.

Helpful for insomniacs
This has helped me many nights fall asleep - I may not sleep through the whole night, but I just turn it on again. I have only used the last segment "Deep sleep" - so cannot rate the other segments on their effectiveness. I would recommend this as a helpful aid in falling asleep.

Highly Recommended
I used a credit to purchase this book and it was money well spent. I'd never used a hypnosis tape before and I was so surprised at how well this works for me. I put it on almost every night and I never have trouble falling asleep when I use it.
The best part is, I wake up refreshed, with all my muscles relaxed. Almost like I took a sleeping pill but without the next-morning grogginess. I plan to continue using the recording because I've had such great results with it.
A couple of light criticisms, the beneficial parts of the tape start about nine minutes in. I just bookmark it and skip to it. The first eight minutes are full of the narrator explaining what hypnosis is, etc. There's really no need to listen to the intro every night.
Second, the narrator's voice can be a little off-putting but after a few minutes of listening to him I settle in. He's good at what he does and the benefits far outweigh the negatives in my opinion.
Bravo, I'm now hooked on hypnosis as not being a total crock, but rather something that has real benefit to my life. A+

First Impressions Can Deceive

Not perfect, but does the trick some nights.
I've had a terrible time sleeping the past few months and decided to give this a try. It works some nights and not so much on others. The author's voice is very monotone which probably helps it work more effectively in hypnosis. The price is right, so you don't have much to lose. I know I was willing to try almost anything.

A Godsend!
Love using Dr G’s self hypnosis, I have made regular practice of his other books “during the day” but have finally started at bed for insomnia and I couldn’t believe I waited this long! 5 different tracks depending on the sleep you’re after, perfect for every night!

Best sleep
I absolutely love this audiobook! I have tried various sleep meditation or hypnosis tapes and have yet to find one that works as well! I often struggle to get to sleep and then to stay asleep. I do not like to take medications and have found this audio to be as effective. I keep my kindle next to my bed and use it to fall asleep and replay one of the hypnosis sessions if I wake up during the night.

Any additional comments?
I've had trouble sleeping for years and missed a few days of work because of it too. I tried medications, otc and prescription (some with unpleasant side effects), homeopathy, supplements, meditation, but nothing worked. Till now. I play this on my IPad or my Kindle and fall asleep. Sometimes it takes longer than others, but I've never actually reached the end of the CD and I'm very glad for that. I would like to know what he says, but I really don't have time to play it during the day and I'm very happy to fall asleep during it at night. So, I guess I'll never really know what he has to say but it must be the right thing for me. If you are on the fence, give it a try. I'm so glad that I did.
