Publisher's summary

Build. Evolve. Conquer. Welcome to a whole new kind of Boss Battle....

Roark von Graf fought his way up from the bottom to become not only the Dungeon Lord of the Cruel Citadel, but the leader of the Troll Nation, making underhanded alliances with other dungeons and players along the way.

Until now, he’s only had to worry about his enemies attacking from inside the game. But Lowen, the Tyrant King’s right-hand man, has found a way to attack the players in league with Roark IRL, laying siege to the company that keeps Hearthworld’s servers running and capturing the very Devs who can take Roark apart byte by byte.

To stop Lowen and his Divine armies once and for all, Roark will have to drag the magics of the game into the real world, harness deadly new technologies, and build dungeons in places no Dungeon Lord has ever gone before.

The fate of Earth hangs in the balance. The duel between Dungeon Lords has begun. And one of them isn’t leaving Hearthworld alive....

From James A. Hunter - author of Bibliomancer, Shadowcroft Acadmey for Dungeons, and Viridian Gate Online - and eden Hudson, author of Path of the Thunderbird and Death Cultivator, comes the fifth installment in the best-selling Rogue Dungeon series!

It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Parts were good, others were okay

Overall I enjoyed it but there were parts where I questioned this book. I’d read it again.

Another great installation

Good times in harthworld once again. Treachery and war play out as our friends from books past meat in new ways to defeat (or try to)(or defeat) the Tyrant King. Deffenantly worth the time...love this series.

So much language- but good story

I love the focus of this story has been the silent majority finally having enough stands up to the bullying of a tyrannical power. A welcomed and desperately needed message for our generation.

My k my complaint- cursing and bad language. Excessively.

Another great one

I really like the Rogue Dungeon series. The characters are interesting, varied, and have been well developed at this point. The story is relatively smooth without lots of little issues to distract me. It was well worth the credit and I'll get the next one as soon as it comes out. *spoilers follow, stop here if you don't want them*

Even though this story is going with one of the well explored story lines where Earth and the RPG gaming world get intermingled, it is done very well and the addition of a third world in the mix adds more room to develop the story. I like that these authors don't stunt their secondary characters, but rather develop some of the secondary charters to a point to rival the main character. A couple of characters could easily get a spinoff book. (i.e PonerBoner, Kaz, and Randy) It was relatively heavy handed when Kaz and Roark split up on two different worlds. It was obvious that they would be separated, but it was done well. Overall, this series is going very well and I hope it continues with interesting and engaging additions.
