About this listen

Book 6 of the best-selling Eden's Gate series!

As a newly anointed member of the Mage's Guild, Gunnar begins his training under Darion and Eanos. Resistance, staves, and ranged fighting are all staples of any mage, but the pride of being a member of the guild is access to a strange device that helps its members locate areas of powerful magic.

During a routine outing with another mage, a group of mysterious Magi attack and know more about Gunnar than any outsiders should. They know he's a Reborn, and they know he stole the Fellblade from the Sparrows. Worse, they've captured someone he loves.

The Magi want a weapon - an ancient weapon - for her return.

Gunnar must ascend to new heights and come face-to-face with some of the most powerful creatures in Eden's Gate if he's to get another chance at a weapon like the Fellblade. Can Gunnar beat the odds, or is the likelihood of death too much for even the whole of Unity to overcome?

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Engaging World-building • Exciting Cliffhangers • Great Narration • Compelling Fantasy Elements • Fantastic Performance

Those who are one-starring this don’t appreciate this great story from Edward Brody. So few books really hold my attention like these stories. Please keep them coming.

I’m not sure why, but it seems people come here just to bash this book and down vote positive reviews—really a shame.

Love this series, I need more

I wish he wasn't so dense. it was obvious they weren't Magi and he just did what they said

good just a bit disappointed

The author could have done without the relationship drama of the main character, it adds little value to the story in general and making it so drawn out bored me in one particular part.

The relationship parts are so dumb

The narrator does a really good job throughout this entire series and I'm very glad that Brody has used Pavi for all of them. The world that's been built is amazing to me! (all the details, nechanics in-game, zones, bad**s npc's). Turns out my favorite character wound up being a crabby old magician named Enos. I have fallen in love with the characters and some of their interactions really do make me laugh out loud heartily (which is rare for me). I will say though that Jax, Rina, Sung, Jeremy, and Ozzy could use some development in the combat area.
I very much disagree with people saying that these characters suck. Even the pretentious and trolly flamboyant mage, Liam, has grown on me. Gunner is relatable and he DOES learn from his mistakes, and even when he makes a less than hononorable decision he rationalizes it the same way anyone else would. He has certainly changed and grown from being an anti social human on earth to being a good friend and a hero in Edens gate. Making good decisions and looking out for others.

There's a plethora of directions this series can go which is really exciting. We still have a good love triangle going so I can't wait to see how that plays out. Many villainous NPCs are truly terrifying and powerful in strength, stature and action so it will be so awesome to see how they are dealt with. The dragons and other beasts are going to be free from the suppression of the ancient ones. There are still big goals that Gunner has, as well as quests and exploration that he has available in addition to his magic training with the Mages Guild AND the ARENA!!!! (Which is so cool I wish it existed in real life).

Honestly, I don't see how you couldn't simply enjoy these books. They're awesome.

Don't listen to the haters

Things just started to get good and the main character has really started developing his own. If he keeps up the direct and boldness into his guild leader position. Had to listen to it again...

i loved them all cant wait for the next one.

I enjoyed the story got fed up with the Mc actions a few times and maybe the author felt this was the normal thing that would happen but I disagree. Maybe the Mc will get to act as smart as we led to believe in the next book that covers such a short time frame. Heck he might get 20 or more books before a year is done in the story.

How many books will this series be?

This book sets up the major conflict that has been building up since the beginning. well written and fun to read.
