About this listen

Now that Startum Ironwolf has reached Domenic’s stronghold, there are a number of obstacles to surpass if he’s going to have any hope in helping his friend escape the massive Chaos Storm Alliances army that’s camped on his friend’s doorstep. The first and foremost being his friend’s refusal to run away and fight another day.

Unbeknownst to either of them, even if they do manage to escape the PKers that are out for their blood, the Orcish horde has arrived and are blocking their path of escape. Somehow, Star has to make peace amongst his friends and figure out a way to survive the overwhelming odds stacked against them or everything he’s been fighting for will be lost.

Strong follow up.

Cheek does a great job continuing his story. He keeps you in the know with The World by sharing different character perspectives. I can’t wait to hear the next part in the story.

Mr Cheek

This is a great series. I’ve been listening to the lit rpg style for some time and they are not created equally. Mr Cheek dances the knifes edge of sexuality and adventure beautifully.

Breath of fresh listening

The World series is a fresh and needed outlook in the game litrpg genre. I say this due to the fact that other books in the genre tend to focus on the MC becoming a game saving character. Other books that I have read or listened to have forgotten or left out that there are other players in the game striving to complete their own quests. Jason Cheek has done a fantastic job of describing a game world better than most with the mention of said players. I am looking forward to the next book in this series and plan to purchase every on of them he realeases

Keeps getting better

This series gets better and better with each book. The author, Jason Cheek has created an amazing sandbox to play with his characters and the narrator, Jason Hill, brings it all together. As a recovering MMORPG player, these books remind me of my old guild and the friends I made, many of them I still speak to and get together with on a regular basis. I normally do not write reviews but this series it worth it!

Great book, I can't wait for the next one!

What a great book and series! I rarely leave reviews, but I had to on this one. The fight scene with the troll, OMG, so funny! I was listening to this book, while I was driving, and had to pull over because I was laughing so hard! Jason Cheek, please never change your writing style to accommodate the woke crowd! There was nothing offensive in this book.

This book was so interesting.

The book was interesting in so many ways. The story wasn't nearly as good as some of his previous books just because the focus was more on different perspectives and it didn't flow as well as some of his previous books. Would most definitely suggest to anyone looking for an excellent series!!
