Wonderful with one caveat
This is overall a supportive and helpful experience for me as I prepare for surgery and I’m grateful to have found it. I do hope that it can be updated in the future to eliminate references to God and angels, so that it can feel inclusive for people of all beliefs and nonbelief — to me this felt like a blind spot and it’s my one hesitation about recommending it to my own friends and clients who are Buddhist, atheist, Hindu, etc. The final meditation actually concludes with God.

Fabulous results from surgery
I started listening to this meditation one time for day before surgery and got amazing results. My surgery was supposed to be six hours long and the doctors said that I had minimal bleeding and it only took five hours because my body was so cooperative. Helped so much with pre-surgery anxiety and even during the recovery. Period, I listen to it, and it is a definite must have if you want to Recover from surgery quickly, easily, and with virtually no anxiety.

This helped me SO much. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I had hip replacement surgery this morning. I have been listening to these guided meditations for about a month.
During that time I was uncertain as to whether or not to actually do the surgery. The meditations reminded me to accept my uncertainty without criticism or blame—and I added without shame. I felt more centered and eventually the answer became clear. Once I made my decision the meditations helped me find my calm when I had—understandably—spikes of fear about such a scary thing as surgery.
I listened to them—particularly chapters 2 and 3–while I did my pre-surgery exercises, some of which were painful. The meditations helped me open to, breathe through, soften around and get through the discomfort.
Today I had to be in the pre-surgical prep room for an unexpected extended period of time. The meditations helped me stay calm and centered by envisioning my guardian angels and magical allies surrounding me and comforting me—even though at that point I wasn’t actually listening to the audio. By then the words were inside my head.
Post surgery I feel like I manifested what the meditations said—I have no complications and I have had minimal discomfort. I have been playing the audio when I do have discomfort, and that helps me once again stay calm and not get lost in the fear that the pain will get worse or somehow I won’t be able to handle it.
As I was playing the audio here in my hospital room one of my nurses came in and heard it. She said it was beautiful, and I totally agree!! The music is calming and soothing, as is Bellaruth’s voice—without being syrupy.
I have to say that I have one negative. What I imagine to be an Audible add-on at the very end is a man’s voice saying something like, “Thank you for listening to this Audible presentation,” It is just jarring coming on the heels of listening to the beautiful, calming, soothing music that is the 4th chapter.
BTW I am very grateful you can click on Chapters and then pick whatever chapter you want to listen to rather than having to listen to the whole thing each time.
Overall I am so very grateful my friend recommended this audio to me. I HIGHLY recommend it if you have a surgery upcoming.

Excellent mental surgery prep
This audiobook helped me so much! The narrator has a great voice for this type of meditation. It helped curb my anxiety and focus my energy. I feel it really helped me have a successful surgery, complication free, that went even better than my doctor anticipated. I used chapters 2 and 3 mostly. I went into surgery with a lot less anxiety and I was able to use the imagery as I was wheeled in. So far my recovery has been going very well.
