Great learning on gut health!
This book is highly educational and comprehensive on gut health for women. The author touches on the importance of gut health, the impact of poor gut health, common causes and triggers, and more importantly, what we women can do to improve our gut health. I've read a lot about nutrition and healthy eating and still found so many pieces of information new and enlightening in this book. I love the action items at the end of each chapter that prompt us to take the small steps needed to improve our gut health. I also like the holistic approach to gut health, that it is not just about what we eat but also about sleep, exercise, and self-care. Better than the class I took
This book reminded me of the Nutrition class I took in college. I thought I was going to learn about cooking, but was disappointed when the instructor started with details about the digestive track. You cover all of that here, but with a decidedly more pleasant presentation than I got from a T.A. on cold, early winter mornings years ago. The information offered here is more than comprehensive, but without all the chemistry . It was a great refresher on things I had forgotten.
Besides nutrition, the author shares practical applications and lifestyle changes to get the most out of your healthier life.
I recommend this book for women of any age. The narrator does a great job explaining things with enthusiasm.
