In a world where godhood is within reach for those willing to claw their way to the top, only one man has the resolve to reject power and go . . . fishing? Again?

Try as he might, Fischer still can't catch a break. Tropica's forces have just perpetrated the fantasyland equivalent of crashing the king's party, kicking over the punch bowl, and making a series of rude gestures on their way out. Unfortunately, they're about to learn firsthand that when you take a bully down to the mat, it's best to make sure they don't get back up.

Because their enemies are unearthing long-forgotten powers, and if those dabbling in the resulting destructive chi succeed, they could become even more annoying than the time Corporal Claws hid all of Fischer's pants.

Still, as troublesome as existential annihilation might be, the hurdles in one's own mind are a lot worse—and Fischer has more than a little debris that needs to be swept off his mental doorstep. With the help of his friends, it might just be time to take out the trash once and for all.

The third volume of the laugh-out-loud LitRPG adventure series—a #1 Rising Star on Royal Road with more than three million views—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Critic reviews

“I can’t think of a single story I’d rather get truck-kun’d (truck-kunned?) into than [that of] the vivid, lush world portrayed in Heretical Fishing, especially if I can hang out with Fischer and his gang. . . . The best book I’ve read this year.” —Matt Dinniman, author of Dungeon Crawler Carl

I was really looking forward to this release and couldn’t be more happy with it! The balance of tension and resolution is impeccable and just all around gives me the warm fuzzies with each consecutive book in the series. I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants a fantasy world that actively evolves with the story with hope and relaxed joy at every twist and turn! Keep up the good work and I eagerly look forward to more!

Most feel-good isekai I’ve ever read!

this was another awesome performance by Heath Miller and a great continuance of the story. this is easily one of my favorite slice of Life novels in this genre right now. it's right up there with beware of chicken and a few others. it doesn't require a bunch of nonsense drama to drop the plot and make things feel like they're moving or anything. it's just an awesome wholesome story and further development of the plot. Even knowing what was happened from having read ahead on patreon, I still thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book

another awesome performance by Heath Miller and a great addition to an awesome story.

Best story out of the trilogy so far and the ending had me gasping! I loved the growth and love between the characters most of all Trent.

Just like that one non-discript TV show says, "Friendship is Magic"

Heath Miller does a great job voicing all the characters, and the story is great - good personalities, good relationships that make you smile and appreciate your own, and a fun adventure story that doesn’t get too bogged down with its own details. I appreciate that theres a litRPG structure that hits the main notes but never resorts to repetitive skills summaries, item descriptions, and long stats readouts - there is just enough to remind you what you’re listening to, but no so much you get tired of it. You’ll love meeting the new characters and following along with the developments of all those from previous books.

A great and fulfilling LitRPG adventure that doesn’t get bogged down with stats and skill descriptions
