About this listen

Events have shown Meghan that protecting her kids also means making sure they're ready to stand on their own when needed.

That's always been part of her parenting philosophy, but applying it to letting a six-year-old get up close and personal with vicious monsters? Questionable! Certainly not easy.

Meghan needs to figure out a way, however, and the aliens won't let her sit down and figure it out. While wrestling these personal dilemmas, she also needs to keep stabilizing her area, find a way to deal with these mysterious new Titans, and deal with some other nasty twists humanity's alien tormentors have in store.

Being Ghosted

The Trials are no longer optional. We now have good lawyers. I love how the mom learned that you can't always protect your kids even when you want to. It is good that they are not alone anymore a d they are working towards saving humanity.

Can't wait for book four

I love this series. I like that they started to introduce us to the aliens behind the scenes of this sick game and am hoping the next book expands on that a bit more. I would also love a storyline where we find out if her husband is still alive and how he's doing in Denver.

Looking forward to the next book.

Ohhhh man soooooooo fantastic! Plus Laurie Catherine Winkle is dynamite!

Ohhhh man soooooooo good! As a mom, Meghan tries to not only keep her family alive but to give her kids the power and tools that will help them transcend her own abilities. Which will allow them to not only survive but actually thrive in this new uncharted environment. I'm actually glad to find out that this book wasn't the end of a trilogy, but a continuation of a saga, because there is so much more story to tell! And I'm still waiting for Vince to arrive! To see for myself how the dynamics of the close knit family, friends, and yeah even the allies change with his arrival...
So yeah grab the audiobook and your seat and just enjoy this super litRPG. Ohhhh and yeah Laurie Catherine Winkle is dynamite!

Here's a couple of quotes that tickled me:

"Gavin would definitely be more interested in talking to a pile of purple spaghetti than a human being, if we could find one who understood human psychology well enough to help."

"Records? Music discs? Are those real? I thought they were just in Minecraft."

I normally don’t review but…

Erin Ampersand’s books blow me away, something I haven’t felt in a long time.
Her stories are character driven and engaging.
The voice actor, Laurie Catherine Winkel, does an amazing job as well, embracing each character and bringing them to life.

the author very clearly has children and knows how they think and act! I love this series and see myself and my kids in every scene in this book.

Keeps me engaged

This series is my first journey into litRPG. I have thoroughly enjoyed the story, the unique struggle, and the overall direction. I feel that there will be far more mystery unraveled in future books. My only complaint is having to wait for the next release.

I am a parent of 3 and it was great to be included in a story

I wish the kids were more major characters, and I wish that anyone had thoughts above level 12. The characters are currently level 8 or so and know at 12 they cap their level. Respec doesn't seem to be a thing but it's plausible. And the contest lasts years, it's been 2 months. Someone has to recognize the characters are going to hit at least level 100 before they max their level.
