Great book.

Saw him speak in person as well. Thats what gave me the drive to listen to this book. He's very engaging and certainly practices what he preaches.

Great Book!

I thought that this book was great and had a lot of useful information. It takes a while to digest and I have had to go back to it again, but I think that if you are looking for some instruction on how to make yourself into someone who can connect with and interact with just about anybody, this book will be a big help.

Based on sound scienfic principles in psychology

Listened to the book twice so far. Author is entertaining, informative and based on sound psychological principles.
I am a psychologist and developed some of these skills taught by leading professors at my University. Highly recommend this book.

Couldn't consume it fast enough

I absolutely loved this book. Every chapter was bursting with the most information. I especially loved the way he didn't just say what to do, but broke everything down to the point that anybody who reads it, (or listens in my case), could understand why to do it that way. I'm a firm believer of the saying "If you learn to remember, you forget, but if you learn to understand, you remember!" Nicholas Boothman does a superb job helping the reader understand. Great job!!!

Good choice for establishing rapport

NLP is the basis of this book. Those who know NLP will likely know what to expect from this book. Those who don't should take a peak. NLP takes the stance that non-verbal communication such as, body language, drives people closer or further away during the early stages of the conversation. By understanding how our non-verbal communication affects those around us, we can learn to establish trust and rapport with other people. Like any self help book, you will likely have to change your current attitude toward communication to get real results from this book.

Overall the book is well done. The author has a pleasant voice, and uses numerous stories to illustrate his examples. I would have liked more outline, structure and summaries to emphasize key points. I find it difficult to get every detail out of a story, especially an audio story. Several times, the author would end a segment by reminding the listener to review the steps in their head. But he would not do so on the audio program. The audio format makes this review difficult since it requires rewinding and re-listening to the program segment. Again, I would recommend this book to anyone desiring better connections skills.

Great! Great! Great! (Read it to understand)

I listened to this book at least 6 times, and learnt something new each time. This stuff should be taught in school. Try it. It works.

Surprisingly Good

I was skeptical about this book from the start, but it was surprisingly good! It covered basics of NLP and using your body language to make friends out of your business associates, which in turn makes you more money!

If I were pressed to state a negative, it would be that he doesn't cover the examples well enough. He mentions briefly that "looking up and to the right or left is a trait of..." But that's not enough info to use it in everyday life.

But all in all, I was surprisingly impressed with this excellent book!
