Publisher's summary

It's lasagna time!

After successfully ranking up together with the rest of the Happy Sunflowers, Arek and his party are ready to kick back and enjoy some much needed relaxation. However, they can't can't seem to stay out of trouble for long. After mistakenly angering a ruthless guild, they are forced to flee Riverfall.

They set off for Red Mount, hoping to wait out the storm, but an even greater threat lies in wait for them. Arek's old life threatens to spill out into his new one as the magical runes he had destroyed slowly gain power once more, but he's determined to keep cooking for those in need—even if it costs him everything.

Book two in the Morcster Chef series is here. Join Arek on another adventure against unexpected enemies and burnt crust.

About the series: A fantasy/LitRPG lite series with a unique cooking twist. It contains status windows and other RPG elements, but it is not set within a video game. It will appeal to anyone that enjoys a slice-of-life fantasy about a group of adventurers as well as fans of Food Wars!

This novel also contains real recipes, and we highly recommend you give them a taste if you're hungry!

expanding and exploring!

while I would of loved for the series to be a small one. I really enjoy the characters and over all story. this book expands the world while not making it overly complicated. it's got more of the same with additional depth the first book was lacking. I can't wait for the next!

I like Orcs, wizards, auctions & ßattles

This brings me back to WOW (World of Warcraft) heydayz. Teaming up with guildies doing dungeons & adventuring. Good times.

A Delicious sequel that left me wanting more

A buttery smooth story, with crunchy combat, and enough plot that left me wanting a third serving of adventure with the Happy Sunflowers.

The story continues with Arek, Melissa, Ming, and Belmont without any time jumps at all feels like you just flipped over to the next page of the story. This time the story has more plot development than the last now that we know the characters and the stakes are spread out and rise as the group wanders into trouble. Which causes what felt like more combat and dialogue about plot then the last one but for me could be because I enjoyed all the cooking from the last story.

However there is still plenty of that with more recipes to try and enough things to wind down and relax after the more tense parts.
I'm far from a great reviewer but I hope this helps any others who find this and consider the book I recommend it and the previous story but I hope a better reviewer comes along to say how delighted I was during the story and now I sit eagerly waiting for the next story as I blew through this in a weekend.

the food recipes and everything aren't thrown in too much and too distracting they make sense with the plot this has Black Butler vibes and it's very good

Great Continuation

The story is so funny, the only issue I have with it, is that I feel as hungry and Ming after all the food descriptions.

Another well written & enjoyable read/listen

Into the Fire: A LitRPG Fantasy Cooking Adventure (Morcster Chef, Book 2), my second read/listen from Actus. Picking up seamlessly from the first book, an enjoyable read, especially for fans of LitRGG. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I also own the Kindle version and was able to read along while being read to. I look forward to my next read from this author. I especially enjoyed the narrative talents of Peter Berkrot whose voice again made an enjoyable book even better. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
