Incredible LitRPG Story

I enjoyed book two as much as the first one. My imagination was captured from the opening paragraphs until the end of the story. I was entertained and enthralled by all the obstacles and changes that Danny Youngblood underwent as he entered his second year at the mage academy. I liked the new characters and creative monsters which were introduced. I was caught up in the mystery and enjoyed the twists. I thought Christopher Harbour's narration was fine, and his performance kept my attention. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which included my honest opinions regarding this story.

Fun for the family

I loved this sequel, and appreciate that it’s going to be good for the whole family. Character continues to make believable choices, and get into insuing hijinks! Keep up the great work!

An awesome adventure!

This is an amazing adventure at the academy that trains the students to do dungeon dives. We follow the main character as he gets stronger as he helps to solve crimes along the way. I recommend this book highly.

MC has near infinite versatility.

there are a few Issues I have with this book. 1 the distinct lack of any Male friends. none of his friends are bad or annoying. I'm just missing some variety. 2 Danny has near infinite versatility. when he kills things he gets their attributes, body parts, and even different variations of the same species of monster that he should be able to mix and match. Dragon with attributes of any variety, chimera of any variety. He can even save weird compositions for later summons. and what does he do with this power only limited by imagination and mana? he makes stone Golums to punch things. to burn things, and to punch things. it gets rather frustrating when your wanting some variety and imagination, and you get more of the same. 3 In praise of this book the mystery aspect of the book went up a notch or 3 from the first book, nice twists and odd add ins that shift and change the story meaningfully, however there are not as many hint drops and the ultimate perpetrator at the ends seems like a lazy answer with very few if any breadcrumbs leading to the answer. 3 stars out of 5 for sure. Narration was top tier and highly recommended
