About this listen

Fueled by memories of a fallen world and revenge, Nick takes on a quest to take down the all-powerful [Admin]. Armed with nothing more than his grit, his experience, and an unyielding will, his every decision becomes a high-stakes gamble in a world changed by the coming of the system.

Powerful and otherworldly foes obstruct his path, their strength formidable enough to pulverize any ordinary man. But Nick is far from ordinary. He embodies humanity's best hope to overcome the catastrophe known as System Fall and to challenge the [Admin].

This is more than a fight for survival. It's a battle for redemption, a rebellion against the system, and a quest to rewrite destiny. Can Nick surpass the limits of being human, outmaneuver his enemies, defy the [Admin], and carve a new path for humanity?

love how this author does not drag on with endless cultivation chapters. Let’s keep the story rolling! Let’s goo!

I wasn’t expecting such a good listen. Hopefully this storyline and plot progresses in the next book. This story is so much more than just stats and levels.

Sleeper ..

Looking forward to book #2. Thoroughly entertaining and thought provoking. Better than most in this genre.

Enjoyed this one very much.

I like a strong hero with a good heart. I don't like the review program telling me that have use 15 words minimum. 😕

good lead... love the story and the narrator.

The admin

I had a hard time thinking about some things about this genre, and I have listened to many a book on this genre .

I never thought about it from the angle of the players against the system, only about how they got stronger, and I’m kind of disturbed who might be pulling the strings in this series

I liked the post apocalyptic theme and I also liked ziggurat, sorry forgot his name. I found it interesting how heartless nick was, probably from his past ten years of watching people getting killed

Liked the cool stat stuff and the cool monsters. Good

so a couple things first is the story it starts out really good main character faces dire situation gets a second chance goes back in time gets the basic restart and overpowered skill that can be upgraded..... problem is it's inconsistent he goes on to explaining that the first dungeon was never fully explored only to practically explore the whole thing and explain how each part works basic mobs give decent skills and/or rewards when two bosses give practically nothing 🫤 The story is great but then all of a sudden random cussing gets added in but then at other times it just references cussing it's quite confusing.... The main character makes no sense in his logic sometimes he says he's a solo player but he constantly groups up with teams he says he needs to make certain decisions at one point he even leaves a team only to then look back and determine it was the wrong choice because he didn't want them to die or something Right after saying that he doesn't play the hero.... another thing that doesn't make sense it's the fast paced story One thing to the next with no apparent break yet it's clear that it's going to be years until the end of the story and that society develops to live in this new world although it's just currently gauntlet after another gauntlet..... either way I'm definitely going to read the comments before checking out the next volume

a box of emotion

I enjoyed this book and the series it will turn into. My only problem is the waiting for book two

I loved it

He whines about groups then lets a group latch. I don’t understand the explanation and expectation of him being alone and the. Stuck with a team that he is explaining everything too. Way more then what’s needed. It was slow due yo the set up and it’s just an annoying time listening to people constantly question him about things he knew.

The author was trying to hard to sound profound but it came off as just trying too hard. Everything was overly dramatic even though he dulled it with a slow moving crowd holding back the MC.

The reward system made no sense. He would barely do anything. Killing just regular mobs and get nice items. But a boss that paralyzes people with a stare and all he gets is another surprise fight. It was inconsistent and poorly thought through. Just basic stuff like that was overlooked.

Bad
