About this listen

The Agicalia series draws from the Vaults of Lore Totality and is an autobiographical account of the life and lore of an extraplanar alien named Vinnford Sansbury and his Earthy anchor, Edward Collins. The story unfolds in parallel narratives of a life lived in the Unmade Out-Lore and adapting to existence as an "Imaginary Being" in the Remade New Lore, with a smattering of nonlinear short asides gathered from the collective knowledge of the multiverse.

But in the fading of Vinny's incredible powers, a creature calling herself "Madam Z" escapes the bonds of his complex Inner World. Now they are caught in a cloak-and-dagger struggle between competing alien factions for control of the extraversal weapon known as "The Spear of Light", the only weapon that can destroy the ageless and beings like themselves who have grown in power to be almost otherwise immortal. Only one side will remain to allow Earth to progress unhindered toward the Singularity moment or to wrest control of the godlike A.I. that is prophesized so that the Undone Lore may be recalculated and perhaps restored.

Once the listener has seen the Blue Space before them as the Vaults of Lore unlock and awaken, they will understand that this is no ordinary fantasy of high or low adventure; it is a sideways slide between worlds that will show them what exists may not have to be real and that what is imaginary might not be unreal. This is no scientific fiction. It is nothing short of a transformative experience that will transport the listener through the layers of mathematics, history, mythology, and all the conspiracies of every faction of the multiverse from this end of the Endless Echo to the Source of Echoes. There is no magic and science is too short a stick to measure all that exists and insists. There is only Agicalia.

Sci Fi Fantasy on another level!

This book was published in 2021 and when your realize that by the end everything about it seems borderline prophetic.

The time-line illustration from the book was posted on the Official Twitter / FB pages. If you feel like something is missing, probably the citations / maps / time-lines. They really do help.

Interesting, slightly confusing and fun

This book started and ended abruptly which plays into it's the charm. The main characters story left me wanting more.

There's alot here

To start off, this book can be confusing in almost every part. The story flows from parts to other parts almost seemingly midscentence and I'm left wondering what I missed, when it was actually nothing I missed. This progresses as the book goes on, and it's almost as if this was partially one of the objectives of the book.

It's worth the time, but you're bound to spend some extra time on it aswell figuring out that you actually missed nothing, feeling as you did. The story is a odd one's to say, you have aliens, magic, time travel, space travel, and a handfull of other things all in there.

Dont judge a listen by its cover

Full disclosure i received a code for this one, Not the first or the last and has no bearing on this review.

As title says, I did judge this one by the grade school artwork on the cover initially. Didn't expect much from it and wasn't at all surprised on how it started. So much info so fast it was chaotic. For the initial listen i was thinking this was going to be painful. However, great writers have a way of tugging at all sorts of emotions. It didn't take very long for the story to settle and my desire to keep listening to peak. As the story continued, way out, to before to back to present i found myself laughing inside, The jabs at current day world issues as well as science is thrown in fantastically. If your a Big Bang Theory, Archer, Family Guy, American Dad, fantasy enthusiast, you will enjoy this one on the quick whit relatable puns alone. I ended up enjoying the hell out of this one so much so that i am very much looking forward to the release of book 2. If your on the fence and enjoy fantasy mixed with relatable reality done in a fun and engaging way, This book will be a hit.

Total Meh.

It isn't good or bad. It was just meh. I couldn't focus on the story. It seems written decently and narrated the same, but the story and narrator both being decent turned into an audio book that was just Meh. Couldn't finish. Made me want to nap.
