Publisher's summary

Against his will, Noctorno Hawthorne, an undercover cop, finds himself embroiled in magic, mayhem and a parallel universe. Too late, he meets an amazing woman only to find she’s destined for his identical twin in another world. And things aren’t going great there.

Noc is recruited to help save that world. What he doesn’t know is his destined love resides in that world.

Franka Drakkar wears a mask. A mask she never takes off to protect herself in a world of malice, intrigue and danger.

When Franka meets Noc and he discovers her secrets, convinced she carries a midnight soul, having shielded herself from forming bonds with anyone, she struggles with accepting his tenderness and care.

When Noc meets Franka, over wine and whiskey, her mask slips and Noc knows it’s her—only her—and he has to find a way to get her to come home with him.

And then make her want to stay.

Surprisingly excellent!

I was hesitant about this one of the series since the others were so fantastic and I wasn't such a fan of Noctorno falling for Franca but it was worth it...

Fast listen

This is my favorite book out of the series. I liked the fact that the went back and forth between worlds and reintroduced characters from the other books. Loved it!

I loved the series...not the language

I loved the series, but if I had a nickel for every time the F word was used unnecessarily I’d be a rich woman...the language almost ruined it for me.

Hooked

I have read all of Kristen Ashley's fantasyland Series and was hooled after the first book. I couldn't put any of the 5 books down. The only downer is there will not be a 6th book.

Franka isn’t so bad after all

I must be losing my hearing because I see one reviewer stating it was both but profanity. I’m going to have to disagree. Sure, there is some but not as bad as this reviewer makes out. I’ve heard books with a lot more. Anyway, I liked knowing how Frannie was the way she was and that we got to see the real her. From the pst books I wouldn’t have thought she had a nice bone in her body. My only complaint is that this book seemed to go on forever without anything really happening but I still love Kristen Ashley. 💗

one of my favorite series

This series was so enjoyable. I have listen to literally hundreds of book on Audible and this series makes my top 5. I adored everything about it not the least of which was the narration. A will written story that was well performed.

Franka and Noc's story was.....eh

I was more into what was going with everyone else and not the main characters (sorry). Noc being Noc and Franka I was hoping their story would be explosive....it wasn't even close. Good read though. :)

THE FINAL STORY

I really enjoyed the series of books by Kristen Ashley. This one didn't capture me like the others. I felt it really wasn't tied into the other books as well with the premise of women coming to another world to find their princes. It was good though and I always like to finish a series. Tilly Hooper is an amazing voice over actress. I hope to hear more from her.
