About this listen

Against his will, Noctorno Hawthorne, an undercover cop, finds himself embroiled in magic, mayhem and a parallel universe. Too late, he meets an amazing woman only to find she’s destined for his identical twin in another world. And things aren’t going great there.

Noc is recruited to help save that world. What he doesn’t know is his destined love resides in that world.

Franka Drakkar wears a mask. A mask she never takes off to protect herself in a world of malice, intrigue and danger.

When Franka meets Noc and he discovers her secrets, convinced she carries a midnight soul, having shielded herself from forming bonds with anyone, she struggles with accepting his tenderness and care.

When Noc meets Franka, over wine and whiskey, her mask slips and Noc knows it’s her—only her—and he has to find a way to get her to come home with him.

And then make her want to stay.

Surprisingly excellent!

I was hesitant about this one of the series since the others were so fantastic and I wasn't such a fan of Noctorno falling for Franca but it was worth it...

Fast listen

This is my favorite book out of the series. I liked the fact that the went back and forth between worlds and reintroduced characters from the other books. Loved it!

I loved the series...not the language

I loved the series, but if I had a nickel for every time the F word was used unnecessarily I’d be a rich woman...the language almost ruined it for me.

Hooked

I have read all of Kristen Ashley's fantasyland Series and was hooled after the first book. I couldn't put any of the 5 books down. The only downer is there will not be a 6th book.

Foul language is reason I marked it down.

This is a terrific story, I feel the best of the series.Story is told well by wonderful narrators whose skill really enhances things. Unfortunately, Ms Ashley’s overuse of foul language (especially the f### word!) somewhat spoiled things for me. This is also true of the first four books in the series. I’m really offended by such language. Ms Ashley used such language in the Magdalene series also - my introduction to her work. It appears from the mentioned books that she finds it difficult to write dialogue without it. Then to my pleased attention I came across “Three Wishes” a delightful, creative, imaginative, stand-alone book that has become my favorite!

Amazing!

I can't get enough of this serious! I love everything Kristen Ashley writes, but this series has pulled me in and I can't stop!
The narrator did a fabulous job with all of the voices and the different accents.
Get ready for another amazing trip to another world and back to our world!

Omg I loved this so much!!!

The only story in the series about implanting someone in our universe and not the other way around. It was sweet and painful, a story about growth from abuses and grief. Frannie was my bitch from book one, she was a boss and I knew that seeing from her POV would make the world a better place. And I was right. Such a sweet end to this series.

How are they able to travel and not deplete magic?

I loved this series but this was probably my least favorite book in the series. It was the least steamy and the story not as interesting as the other books. Golden dynasty was my favorite by far. Also one thing that kept nagging me was how could they travel back and forth between worlds and not deplete magic? In the beginning finding a witch to do this was almost impossible but now it’s like no big deal. Did I miss something?
