Publisher's summary

I’ve escaped from a nest of backbiting nobles…only to fall into a whole city of them!

The Baron Sherazad sent me as far away from Eslant as possible. Now, I’m stuck in the middle of nowhere, in a nest full of enemies, with only a demented mimic and a renegade elf to watch my back.

Arrdeam’s rulers are determined to keep their civilians weak and under control, but that won’t work for me. Me, Melina, and Chester need to grow strong…strong enough to defeat all our enemies and to one day make our way back home to get our revenge. Strong enough to survive the mysterious corruption that’s sweeping through the world.

And if anybody tries to stop us? Well, Chester’s always looking for his next meal.

Always a pleasure with Jeff Hayes

Funnier than hell. The comedy was top tier in this one, better story-wise in #1. Narrarators absolutely killed it. I'm very impressed at all the accents they're able to do. Can't wait for more of "Cristans(?)" sword. Lots to unravel there. Thanks for the killer book🙏🙏

Even Better than The First!

I did not know what to expect out of a LitRPG but was pleasantly surprised. I'm an avid phantasy and sci fi reader though not a gamer, but I also love theater. This combined many if my loves for hilarious and entertaining results.

love this story

I like the development pace and the changes that the group goes through. Can't wait for book 3 I hope this will be a long series.

Voice actor makes this tail!

The story is pretty standard. But whoever is the brain behind the “character” of the mimic just makes it. All the different voices and the arc of that exact character makes the book. Will pre order when available.

slow start but gets better

There is quite a bit of don't stop and think about this but funny and entertaining for the most part

the unique Chester

I love how they do the voice for Chester and most of the casts, but I feel like it's just a repeating story of the first one. I like the story though. I feel like it would improve if Chester did impressions and actually did some more mimicry instead of abomination versions of things.

Awesome cast!!

Jeff Hays is definitely one of my favorites when it comes to voices, but all three did an amazing job capturing emotions and the characters personalities. Funny and great read!

cool book, noticeable plot holes

First off, I really enjoyed this book. However having finished this book, I cant help but notice some random tidbits off holes in the story. such as how many people greeted them when they first went to the city. all the four people were there. despite the amount of times the author says that they hate each other. shouldn't they have better things to do than wait on the outskirts of their city?

Chester’s Ideal Form

Good read, I was surprised by Chester’s choices. If anything I’m curious about the system.
