About this listen

Learn how to free yourself from chronic pain, anxiety, fatigue, and myriad debilitating conditions through the transformative process of nervous system regulation in this accessible guide from psychotherapist and leading Mindbody clinician Nicole Sachs.

At a time when chronic pain and other conditions have reached epidemic proportions, and the medical model is coming up short for so many of us, Mind Your Body shares the evidence-based practices that can help deliver listeners from hopelessness to freedom. Most people who come to Nicole Sachs have exhausted all other paths to cope with their chronic back and bodily pain, IBS, sciatica, pelvic pain, long COVID, migraines, fibromyalgia, nerve inflammation, skin conditions, anxiety and panic disorders, and many more health conditions. Maybe they’re considering surgery or other interventions, with no real promise of a cure, or maybe the surgeries and treatments they’ve already attempted have proved disappointing and they are desperate for relief.

Sachs knows that these kinds of syndromes often don’t originate from a physical source. Rather, they are fueled by trauma responses associated with deeply rooted psychological and emotional triggers that send the brain and the nervous system into fight or flight.

In Mind Your Body, Sachs teaches listeners about Mindbody medicine—which helped her overcome her own debilitating pain and dark prognosis. She explains the essential practice of turning inward, using her revolutionary JournalSpeak method, which has enabled countless people to achieve striking mental, emotional, and physical healing. Mind Your Body takes chronic pain recovery into its next stage, for a new generation of listeners who have been so underserved by our medical system.

Nicole takes you on journey of healing

Nicole is so easy to listen to. I have loved her podcast for years. She helped me cure myself of chronic headaches, shoulder pain & knee pain. Could not recommend more to anyone who really is looking for a cure for chronic pain.

Chronic migraine free

I found Nicole’s work through the Curable app when I had tried everything to end my lifelong issue with chronic migraine. Told by my neurologist the next option was monthly stomach injections, I doubled my search efforts and found guidance from Curable success stories and expert interviews where I listened to an interview with Nichole Sachs. While pain reprocessing work also had an impact, JournalSpeak and Nicole’s coaching and healing journey stories through her podcast and free content was the main thing that allows me to say I am chronic migraine free. I am still on this journey and get headaches or the occasional migraine, but the chronic debilitating condition I dealt with since I can remember is gone. I still listen to the podcast, read posts in the JournalSpeak community, and do the work. Listening to the book underscored a lot of what I already understand and reminded me of some wisdom I forgot. Thank you, Nicole, for your commitment to this message. You definitely changed my life.

This knowledge saved my life - do not dismiss this!!

This book is world class!!! In 2016 I was bedridden at 40 years old due to what I was told spinal stenosis, sciatica, scoliosis, and 3 hearniated discs. Mind you, I was a fit gym owner with an MS in Exercise Science and it was 6 months after my dad tragically died. It seemed to come out of nowhere. Because I owned the town gym I had access to 7 different therapies with doctors, PT's, Airrosti, and even went to a flipping shaman. It became so bad I couldn't go from sitting to standing without screaming and couldn't ride in a car. This was the worst pain imaginable and I used to just lay on the floor of my living room and cry wondering if I would ever be able to sit up again.

One day I randomly saw a 20 second ad on YouTube about TMS and Dr John Sarno. At this point it had been 6 months of trying literally everything and being let down, so I listened to his short book Healing Back Pain.

Before I was even done with the book I felt less pain, this is no exaggeration!! I listened to it probably ten times and started keeping a rage journal. Within a couple days I drove my CAR!!!! Nobody ever listens to me when I share this story, they think it's all hippiedippie woo woo but to this day I have had no back pain ever. Guys, even my foot and thigh was numb before this knowledge.

Here we are nearly ten years later and I've been dealing with hiatal hernia pain for 4 years now. Somehow, Nicole ended up in my radar and I started hearing her podcast. Within a few days I no longer have a single hernia symptom because I made the connection that DUH!!! It's TMS! I've been symptom free since, back to my journaling.

I devoured her new book in a straight listen and I feel this should be mandatory reading for every human. This stuff is so so real. I know so many around me would rather suffer in pain than believe they have any personal influence over the issue, but it's a choice to open your mind to a new way of thinking.

Do not walk to get this book, RUN. It's harder to live life in pain than it is to journal the ugly dark parts of you that your brain is trying to protect you from.

She. Is. The. Guru.

This Audiobook is so good. Nicole’s read is really well-paced and even though I have listened to every single podcast (some more than once) and been in countless community calls and experiences with her, I am still learning new things from the book — seeing things from a new perspective. Highly recommend!!

Easy to digest and Actionable!

Nicole is easy to listen to and understand as she shares this heartfelt book. It is laid out well, gives distinct directions and a lot of basis for her work. Her voice is so soothing, but also empowering. I have borrowed several quotes for daily reminders and will listen more than once.

This book will change your life!

When I first learned about the concepts of mindbody medicine and TMS, I approached them with a healthy skepticism. I did some research and found that there's a ton scientific evidence to support these concepts. But the real proof came when I started doing the work and experiencing the results.

Nicole Sachs is THE expert when it comes to this stuff. There are many good books on this topic, but Mind Your Body is, by far, the single best source of everything you need to know to start healing.

The ideas in this book are beneficial to everyone. This is life changing stuff. This is not "alternative medicine", it's real science-based medicine that urgently needs to be integrated into our Western medical model.

I especially love the audiobook version of Mind Your Body because it is read by Nicole. Her confidence and her desire to help people can be heard in her voice throughout the entire book.
