Publisher's summary

Nick Sebring has issues. Born feeling like an outsider in his own family, growing up under the shadow of a brother who could do anything, Nick isn't that great of a guy. But when this culminates with Nick lashing out to hurt his brother through the woman he loves, Nick turns inward and makes some decisions about the man he intends to be. And as he does this, he falls in love and truly learns the man that he's grown to be.

When his love is murdered right before Nick's eyes, Nick knows he has to avenge her. He knows how he's going to avenge her. And he has no qualms about using Olivia Shade to exact that vengeance.

Olivia Shade has grown up on the outside of her family, too. Her problem is that they don't want her outside. They want her all the way in, right under their thumbs. She pays the price for seeking escape and learns her lesson - she'll never see a dawn where she wakes up free. Then she meets Nick Sebring, and even as she fights it, the hope that died years ago starts to blossom. She can find love. She can have a man of her own. She can be happy. She can be free.

Olivia hopes while Nick schemes. However, as Nick peels back the layers of all that is Olivia Shade, he finds something surprising. He understands its fragility. He falls in love with its beauty. He seeks to protect it. But he forgets to protect his Livvie from one thing: Nick Sebring.

Broken princess.

The pathos surrounding the female lead was heart wrenching. This coupled with the intense and continuous suspense of each clandestine meeting, was enough to keep my attention riveted as the story unfold.

The soft gentle landing towards the close of the story was most welcomed. The reader/listener was treated to little synapses of how each couple in the series was progressing in their life and relationships. It was like stopping by to see old friends and prolonging the pleasure with a little get together.

The narrator was superb. Excellent storytelling by both author and narrator. The juxtaposition of the various types of love was expertly portrayed by the author to bring the themes of the story home.

A truly delightful listen!

KA Again!!

I knew KA would bring it again. My love for her is that she tells a great story and in a series updates all the past characters. I just love that about her series. Nick turned it around since Knight and got a great life.

Wasn't sure at first.....

I wasn't sure I would like this book, since the previous books in the series made m3 strongly dislike the main character, but it didn't take long to draw me & get me rooting for his finish!

Didn't expect to love Nick but...

I'm a big fan of KA books. I love how each series intertwines together. I didn't expect to love Nick but he's done some growing up and of course it's another win for KA. The scenes were hot and the storyline was intriguing.

At last a great story

Finally the last book in the series was great.
The 3 before this one were ho-hum, tons of sex but weak stories.

From A-hole to Hero

Narrator Review:
Stella Bloom is one of my favorite narrators. You can’t go wrong with any audible book she works on. 5+ Stars to Stella!

Story Review:
Wow! This book was bad for my heart. So many times I was furious with what Olivia was being put through that I had to stop and just breathe for a few minutes to lower my blood pressure! This book was seriously good. I wasn't expecting that since Nick was such an ahole in the previous books. Kristen Ashley did such a good job of turning Nick's character around, made even more amazing since we didn't actually get to see his turning point, yet it was still believable. This was a great ending to the series. When I finally got to the end of this book, I had completely fallen in love with all the Unfinished Hero's and their women and I absolutely love that they are living the life they deserve.

SO WORTH THE WAIT!

Any additional comments?

I've been not so patiently waiting for the last installment of this series for quite a while. As always, KA makes it totally worth the wait. I devoured Sebring in one sitting (well, one sitting, a workout, a walk, and some yard work). Each book in her Unfinished Heroes series had a unique spin, unique and yummy characters, a little bit of angst and a lot of happy. She totally surprised me by making me fall in love with Nick which is something I didn't think would happen based on his assholedness in previous books. KA proves that perfect love can bloom from imperfect people. Totally worth a million and two credits.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I didn’t think I would ever find a book I loved more than Knight. It’s fitting that Sebring replaces Knight, or at least comes close. Ok, let’s say they are a tie; fitting because both books are about two brothers. It is so rare to finish a book, and IMMEDIATELY want to start it again, I found myself doing just that with Sebring. I know this will become one of those stories I devour over and over, because I loved it that much.

I was nervous going into Sebring, because frankly, the last few Kristen Ashley books have been such a disappointment to me; with the same recycled characters and dialog. However, with Sebring, I felt like she brought a completely new level to her writing. Olivia is her best character I’ve read so far; she has so much depth and feeling, I was in tears, TEARS, I tell you, so many times, and the level of her anguish and despair was heartbreaking and I felt I was there with her.

I was also so enamored with Nick; the man he became, from the man he was, just wow. I loved his journey, and that we got to see a complete 180 with him. I love the man he is, that he is his own man, and he did it on his own terms.

Sebring completes the Unfinished Hero’s books, and it is a fitting end to the series. I Loved Sebring as much as I loved Knight, book one in the series. I love both brothers’ stories equally; I can say I have two favorite books now, both by Kristen Ashley....Sara
