Publisher's summary

Allen Carr’s Easyway has helped over 50 million people to date and counting! His revolutionary approach to the problem of addiction allows addicts to take back control of their lives.

Here in this brand-new audiobook the renowned Easyway method is applied to the subject of gambling.

Most gamblers are convinced that it’s almost impossible to stop gambling and free themselves from debt; they also feel unable to solve the widespread problems gambling causes. The wonderful news is that this audiobook shows you how to stop immediately, painlessly and permanently.

Ideal for listening to in the car or whilst traveling, this audiobook understands gamblers and how they think and, without being judgemental or patronising, takes them step-by-step through the process of how to free themselves of the gambling addiction.

It demonstrates how gamblers fall into the trap of gambling, the psychology behind being addicted to risk and how to quit gambling once and for all.

Worth the read / listen

Read the reviews before buying, glad I went forward with it, listened to it in 3 days and there is LOTS of good context to use as a means to approach the non gambler mindset. Being an athlete and having the competition aspect of life can be a driver of what makes one feel Gambling is a game to win or lose more than the impact it can adversely have on one’s life. The easy way if you’re ready for it and willing to listen can help for sure.. thinking that gambling is a high is a real thing, when it really is just a perspective of almost being brainwashed into thinking it’s fun and rewarding. Good luck if you choose to listen and buy the book. I plan to utilize much of the perspective he shares and adjust my life choices and focus on the easy way vs the willing myself to quit (which I’ve done many, many times)

It works!

Excellent narrator. This method actually works !! I had been addicted to gambling for three years, and I'm finally free. It just takes one single decision, one of the happiest moments of my life. Follow the instructions and you'll make it. No sacrifice, no suffering in the process.

Understanding I was not enjoying gambling

If you find yourself constantly in a depressive state after gambling, telling yourself, that was the last time you were going to gamble, I found yourself right back at it shortly thereafter this book is for you. I got to the point, or I started to tell myself I would start leaving my debit card at home, so I wouldn’t more than what I had allotted for a particular day that didn’t seem to work either. I listen to this audiobook over a three day. About 3 1/2 weeks ago and I have not gambled a single time since the desire is just not there. I listen to the book, I kept an open mind, and it worked.

Consise message about the addiction of gambling.

I appreciate the author identifying the real problem. Gambling has nothing beneficial to offer, so quitting is easy. You don't need a 12-step program, just reconnect with the truth and make a reasoned decision.

STOP AND LOOK! READ MY REVIEW!

What made the experience of listening to The Easy Way to Stop Gambling the most enjoyable?

This book gave me everything I have ever wanted from therapy,
self help, and Gambler's Anonymous but never got.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Easy Way to Stop Gambling?

Allen Carr asks only that you have an open mind. You have tried it your way for years: Withdrawal method, help lines, quitting for awhile; and they all haven't worked. The least you could do is hear him out.

Which character – as performed by Richard Mitchley – was your favorite?

N/A

What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Easy Way to Stop Gambling?

The answer isn't one "eureka" moment. Everything makes sense when you put it all together.

Any additional comments?

I think this is the second review I have ever written in my life.

I am 37 years old. I can honestly say I can remember about 60 days in my life since I was 6 years old where I haven't gambled. Rolling dice on the playground, betting my lunch, ponies, sports, casinos, you get it. One month ago I hit rock bottom and asked my friend who was a lifelong smoker (which is how Allen Carr got famous) if there was anything he could recommend that would help my situation. I was throwing a lifeline for help and he emailed me the link to this book. Desperate and at my rawest I started reading.

I am (was) the LAST guy who would believe that a book could change your life, but I can honestly say that The Easy Way To Stop Gambling could seriously knock therapists out if a job when it comes to this issue. I'm not joking one bit. The book works. Carr (a 100+ cigarette a day man) removes the illusion, fear, and denial that one has when it comes to your addiction by implementing his Easy Way method. I have been gambling for over 30 years. My frame of mind has shifted like you wouldn't believe. I am a non gambler thanks to Allen Carr. Please believe me: This book has changed my life without withdrawal, craving, or desire. I would buy this book for you if I could. Honestly, you have absolutely nothing to lose by reading this and I PROMISE YOU, IT WILL MAKE SENSE WHEN YOU ARE DONE! THIS MAN HAS THE #1 QUITTING SMOKING BOOK IN THE WORLD, ALL BY WORD OF MOUTH. HIS METHOD WORKS!

Thanks to Allen Carr, I am truly looking forward to the second half of my life as a non gambler, free from the addiction that has plagued me for 30+ years. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS BOOK. I PROMISE YOU IT WILL MAKE SENSE!!!

LIFE CHANGING

For the first time I feel I've found something to kick my gambling addiction. What he says makes complete sense and he breaks it down so that you GET IT. I've tried other forms of "rehab" including the willpower method he speaks of and none of them worked.

I believe GOD led me to this book because I was at my wits end on how to overcome this addiction.

This book is a MUST read for anyone looking for the final method to quit gambling for good.

I'm also going to buy the physical book to keep on hand so I can always refer back to the principles for other areas in my life.
