About this listen

Tired of being told you just need to get more organized? Used every planner, calendar, and administrative app out there? Feeling like your neurodivergence is holding you back from your goals? If your patience is low and your frustration is high, then this is the audiobook for you.

Executive dysfunction is a key aspect of ADHD, not a character flaw. You can learn to manage it without all the agendas and admonitions. You can discard the shame and blame.

Inside The Fight for Focus - Embracing ADHD, discover:

  • The true nature of executive dysfunction
  • Scientific challenges to the common myths surrounding ADHD
  • The key to healing and self-acceptance
  • How to manage your symptoms without betraying your true self

And, so much more!

You aren’t lazy or unmotivated; your brain is simply wired differently.

Be guided through a step-by-step approach to building a mindset and an environment that supports you. Learn to collaborate with your neurodivergence, instead of challenging it. Take back control of your self-esteem, your goals, and your life.

Reap the rewards of:

  • Knowing your neurological differences
  • Surrounding yourself with support
  • Pinpointing your strengths
  • Protecting your progress

Examine the ways in which misconceptions of ADHD, and its treatment might be holding you back. Learn how small adjustments to your perspective can create far-reaching benefits to your life. And, most importantly, gain the knowledge and skills to make the best decisions for you.

Helpful Book

It is great to have this type of resources for people who is married to an adhd person. This book has provided me with a lot of information on how the adhd brain works and process information, which is something I was not able to understand. It also provide with breaks between readings, which makes it easier for adhd readers. Overall, I feel this book is a great informational work.

Thoroughly enjoyed!

I really enjoyed this audio book! It touched on topics that made me feel absolutely validated. It helped me understand some things I've been struggling with. As an adult with newly diagnosed ADHD, there have been a lot of things I've never known, heard of or understood and I really enjoyed learning about them with this book. Truly was a good read/listen.

Good Information

I've recently been diagnosed and I'm trying to learn more about ADHD & executive functioning. Melinda's book is very informative and good at explaining to us non scientific people what executive function is. I haven't finished the book, but I'm very interested in everything else Melinda has to say!

Boring

A kindergarten teacher read it. Very textbook like. New information but stories came off as one size fits all.
