Publisher's summary

Book five of The Realms continues the epic LitRPG adventure that started with Barrow King.

“We could end this war before it begins.”

Gryph thought freeing his sister Brynn from the shackles of the High God would be the end of his mission.

Only to learn it was just the beginning.

Tasked with building an army for the Resistance, Gryph quickly realizes it will never be enough to curb the High God’s despotic quest to control the Realms.

Victory seems hopeless.

But then a long-buried secret resurfaces, and a desperate plan is hatched.

The survival of the Realms is in Gryph’s hands. If he fails, billions of souls will suffer a fate worse than death.

Can Gryph uncover the mysteries of his past in time to save the Realms, or will his actions hand victory to the High God?

The Forsaken God continues the number one best-selling epic LitRPG saga that began in Barrow King. The Realms will never be the same.

Awesome

I think this may be one of the best ones. Armen delivers a great performance as expected. The story progresses at a pace that seems forced at times but then flows very well. I am absolutely loving this series.

Great Story

Another continuation of this great story. More character development and world-building as well. Great job. 🙂

Entertaining but no real progress.

I have enjoyed this entire series and Forsaken God is no exception, but I am a bit disappointed in the lack of progress here. There was plenty of action and some solid character growth, but I still felt cheated at the end. That said, it was a fun listen and I will definitely continue with the next book of the series.

Overall a great continuation

I thoroughly enjoyed the D&D aspects of the books. It has really brought back good memories from when I was younger playing with my friends before today's digital age. The pace of Gryph's progression and the items in the books are outstanding.

The only reason I could not give it 5 stars was Lex. The character is so whiny and annoying, especially during times of conflict when normal people would need to concentrate/focus that it totally turns me off. I found myself actually hitting the forward button a few times just so I would not have to hear his same blathering. Some would have been okay, but with him it's nonstop.

The rest of the characters are hashed out and have unique and witty personalities. I do miss the interaction between Gryph and the gnome. Overall though, it is an excellent LitRPG book with a good story arc.

Great Series

Overall a great series and by far one of the more energetic of the series. This series has great potential and I look forward to seeing how all the little hints and story arcs evolve throughout the series!

a detail

a small detail in the book about the villian and his motivation, and his hopelessness with it annoys me to a great degree. he does nothing to what should be his true enemy, the one who actually took everything from him and instead is aroggant and self-centered and no one calls him out for the bullshit.

lack of character sheets

idk if the book has the character sheets and the narrator isn't reading them or if the book lacks them. however we need more updates as the books go on. it doesn't needs to overdone like some other LitRPG books I've listened to but it needs a bit more.
