I barely heard about the vagus nerve before I read the book and listened to this audio version of the book. Knowing nothing about the subject, this was a life changing experience. Simply put, this information opened my eyes to the important part the vagus nerve plays in our nervous system. I learned that it is one of 12 nerves leading from the brain stem and the only one leading all the way to the abdomen. This nerve controls the functioning of most of our significant organs. Hopefully, over time, the health system will discover more about what this nerve can do for mankind. Just reading the book and listening to this audio by Lorilee Lucas has opened the door to so much positive information. The on-going research is so exciting because the potential for this modality is mind-breaking. This has been the most educational health information I have accessed in years. I highly recommend both the book and the audio version of this book.
