Publisher's summary
Have you ever heard of vagus nerve self-help exercises for regulating emotions and treating several Illnesses? Want to find out how vagal stimulation and psychophysical well-being are closely related?
Then this book has certainly been designed for you!
Emotions, affect regulation, and interpersonal social behavior are psychological processes that define how people react to events, environmental difficulties, and other people. These processes build our sense of self, help us form connections, and influence whether we feel comfortable in different situations or with different individuals. Despite the fact that these processes may be witnessed scientifically and subjectively, they constitute a complex interplay between our psychological experience and physiological control.
Today, we are increasingly dependent on prescription medicines to modify our behavioral and emotional states, rather than workouts and therapy for psychosomatic ailments. This book includes a collection of self-help exercises aimed at stimulating the vagus nerve.
Here is a list of the topics covered in this guide:
- Autonomic Nervous System – What it is and how it works
- All You Need to Know About the Polyvagal Theory
- Neuroception and Faulty Neuroception
- Testing the Ventral Branch of Vagus Nerve
- Mood, Emotional-State Recognition and Vagal Tone
- How the vagus nerve can help treat anxiety, depression, and trauma
- The Polyvagal Theory—A New Paradigm for Health Care
- Self-help Exercises to Improve Your Mental Health
- How to Stimulate Vagus Nerve with Yoga and Breathing
Are you ready to discover how to release your body's natural healing capacity and rewire your brain through easy self-help daily exercises? Listen to this book and start improving the quality of your life today!

This is one of the first symptoms of vagus nerve disorder. The nerve can affect us to the point of causing issues such as obesity, chronic health problems, and even mood disorders. Also, overthinking is irritating to the mind and can result in serious consequences to the well-being of an individual.

She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

The vagus nerve allows our brains to receive information concerning many different bodily functions, and it can affect many different areas of the body, including one’s voice. This is one of the first symptoms of vagus nerve disorder. The nerve can affect us to the point of causing issues such as obesity, chronic health problems, and even mood disorders. Also, overthinking is irritating to the mind and can result in serious consequences to the well-being of an individual.

Very helpful
This is the most informative and easy-to-understand audiobook I've ever listened to. It's so helpful to know that the vagus nerve is a huge part of our autonomic nervous system and that it can be exercised in a way that makes us more resilient, kinder, and happier people. I feel like I'm a better person already!

Polyvagal theory
This is an excellent book for anyone looking to improve their health and life. Dr. Jeremy Young does a great job of covering all available techniques, including daily habits and multi-year plans. I found it to be an easy read with clear sections and informative enough that I learned a lot along the way. The chapter on vagus nerve stimulation was especially interesting - it has completely changed my view of things.

Easy Vagus Nerve Exercises
I have to say, this audiobook is absolutely fantastic. It's a quick read that makes you feel like you're learning so much, but it's not overwhelming in any way. The exercises are super easy to follow, and I've already noticed a difference in my body and mind. I love that the author explains things so clearly, and doesn't talk down to you like some books do. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about their vagus nerve and what it does for their body!

Overcoming stress and anxiety
I've been struggling with anxiety for as long as I can remember. I'm not sure when it began, but I know it has always been a part of my life. It's not like I don't have moments of peace—I do! But anxiety has always been there, lurking in the background and making me feel like the world is closing in on me.
I tried medication, but it made me moody, so I stopped taking it. Then I tried talking to someone about it, but they told me to stop worrying so much. Neither of those things helped me feel better or reduce my symptoms at all, so what was left?
That's when I started researching online and found information about the vagus nerve. This audiobook explains how we can change our bodies using simple exercises that anyone can do at home or while out running errands or whatever—and it works!
After only a few weeks of doing these exercises regularly (and still working on other methods like meditation), my symptoms are almost completely gone! Now, when something stressful happens in my life (and let's be real: stressful things happen ALL THE TIME), I just go through instead of feeling overwhelmed or anxious about it.
