About this listen

January 2043. The Vogthar Horde has come, and they bring real death with them. Not even players are safe from the power of Malware Blades....

Worse, the Realm of Order, dominion of the Overmind Sophia, is in danger - slowly being corrupted by an ancient evil, the Lich Priest. And if he is successful, it could mean the end of Sophia and the downfall of the Crimson Alliance.

Grim Jack never thought he’d find himself siding with the Empire, but now that this terrible new threat has arrived, making friends of old enemies may be the only way to survive.

some twists some predictability

The reader does well with proper pacing for action and suspense. He needs to learn how to pronounce crepe though. Crap paper comes in rolls.

Lich Priest

A pretty decent book.
Slightly short or at least it seemed that way, but a good continuation of the storyline.
Taylor did a good performance.

Worth the buy, and the listen.

Wish I could say more

This was an interesting book, and I feel like it was a departure, allowing for further charecter development by devorsing the conflict from the main line of events. The whole book is almost out of place, intentionaly, so as to create a seperation that allows the charecters within to be better.
I am facinated by this series, especialy as it develops the story of the overminds. This book reminds me of elder scrolls once more, with how each of the gods has their own plane of existance seperate from the main world. It makes sense, generaly this is an accepted part of media, even if it doesn't take much from mythology.
There are many stories where the gods have their own realms as a part of their activities, along with their own artifacts, dedicating parts of themselves into each. Along with Elder Scrolls, another good example is the Sandman series and it's depiction of The Endless.

BEAT

I love this series so far... but James Hunter has given me a literal tick... everytime, and it's ALOT, he mentions the word BEAT instead of any other time transition word... I physically react and it makes me crazy 🤪

Popcorn LitRPG

It’s not amazing in story or narration. It’s good, if you like LitRPG then you’ll probably like this. But it’s popcorn. It probably won’t disappoint, but it probably won’t knock your socks off either.
