Stan should always narrate his work

Another great book by Stan Tatkin, but I wish he would’ve narrated it. This narrator sounds like Casey Kasem from America’s Top 40 countdown. It’s a great voice for a DJ, but he doesn’t have the same intellectual and emotional connection that Stan has with his work that provides so much more depth and meaning. When Stan narrates his own work, the content is far more impactful and captivating.

Great content

Good content, however I wish Dr Tatkin would narrate himself. When he speaks himself, it’s clear the material is coming from the heart and it’s easier for the listener to connect.

The relevance of the material as it pertains to me and how I’m not being a good partner-but trying.

The narrator did an excellent job.
The author did substantial research and presented convincing data and methods to explain the value of “we do instead of I do”. I highly recommend this book for couples who both want to and need to become more bonded and grateful.

Great Material

Material was fantastic. The narrator was challenging to listen to but worth struggling through for the wisdom.

Must to read before getting married

Love all Dr.Tatkin books! It must read for everyone before or after marriage. Everyone thinks love and romantic come naturally like in the movies. The Good relationship did come naturally. Usually, you have to work for and educate herself.
Wonderful book!

Excellent book with poor narration

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I find Stan Tatkin's work to be indispensable for couples I see in my practice. The information he presents is both psychoeducational and deeply relatable. I read the hard copy of "Wired for Love" and "Relationship Rx" and listened to his audiobook "Your Brain on Love", which he narrates. I chose to purchase this book in audio form due to a love for the quality of his voice as presented in "Your Brain on Love" and for the success I have had prescribing it as audio homework for couples I work with (couples report that they enjoy listening to it together more than reading a book simultaneously).

Well, my impulsive purchase proved to be a terrible mistake. Only after downloading the book did I see it was narrated by someone else. That would have been only mildly disappointing had the quality of the narration not been so bad; it is robotic and repetitive, incapable of capturing the attention that the material requires. I ended up not be going any further with the audio book and purchased the hard copy. Excellent book and a welcomed addition to his previous work. I wish Stan would narrate his own books (I see he has only narrated the one I mentioned above) but if he cannot, I hope his publishers can find a narrator that can represent the material a bit better.

The best. Soothing and empowering

Stan Tatkin is one of my favorite authors. I’ve listened to nearly all his audiobooks... will probably listen to this one twice, as the skills he introduces require practice. People in a relationship and single people looking to understand how to have a successful relationship can both benefit from this book. I appreciate that Tatkin narrates his own material in such a calming way. All the thumbs up.
